Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Rationale:
The reason behind choosing this project is that in the rapidly developing era of
globalization it is very important for all the organization to manage good amount of the human
resources in the organization. Cultural diversity is one of the factor which used to play a very
crucial role in the same. Tesco is also finding it difficult to maintain the good amount of human

resource in the organization. This study will help them in overcoming the same issue. Another
reason for conducting the research was to gain the different knowledge about the cultural
diversity in the organization.
Section Three: Literature sources searched
Literature Review:
As per the view point of Rice, (2015) cultural diversity means a situation in which the
companies used to hire all sort of the employee in the organization, with different backgrounds,
culture and religion. This is generally done by the organization to dispel negative stereotypes
and personal biases about the different group in the organization and promote the trust and the
respect among the different group in the organization.
Cultural diversity used to bring the variety of the benefit in the organization. Ang and
Van Dyne, (2015) highlights that the biggest benefit which is brought by the cultural diversity
is the innovation in the organization. As the employee used to belong to the different
background and culture, as all the culture used to drive on the basis of different belief and path.
This help the company in improving the amount of the innovation in the organization. Singh,
(2018) highlights that not only that cultural diversity help the company in building the good
working environment and also used to help the business in bringing the new changes very
easily in the organization.
There are many types of the obstacles which are also seen by the organization at the
time of incorporating the cultural diversity. Riccucci, (2018) highlights that the different group
on the basis of the culture are already being made in the organization it is very difficult to melt
that group and promote the awareness of working together in the organization. Lambert, (2016)
has a opinion that another challenges is misinterpreted of the professional communication by
the different cultural employee in the organization.

What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What
your areas of research will cover:
Research Type: Research is the systematic conduct of the investigation on the study of
the material to find out the outcome of the issue. There are two type of research type
that is qualitative and quantitative research type. Scholar will be taking help of
qualitative research type as it will be difficult to present the data in numeric form.
Research Approach: Research approach is the set of the assumption regarding the
method of data collection, analysis and interpretation. Inductive and deductive approach
are the two type of research approach which can be used by the scholar. Deductive
approach will be taken by the scholar as it used to provide good support to qualitative
research type (Caillaud, Rose and Goepp, 2016).
Research Philosophy: Research philosophy looks at the different belief regarding the
way data should be gathered, analysed and used. There are two common type of
research philosophy which is used by all the scholar that is interpretivism and
positivism. Scholar will be using interpretivism as a philosophy as it will help in
understanding about human interest included in the study as well.
Data collection: Data collection is the process of collecting the data to conduct the
study on the basis of same. Scholar will be collecting the secondary data by taking help
of different journals and book related to the topic. Primary data will be collected with
the help of the survey.

Data Analysis: Scholar will be using the thematic data analysis tool to conduct the
research (Kumar, 2019).
Sampling: Sampling is the process of deciding the sample size out of the total
population to conduct the survey on them. Probabilistic and non probabilistic are the
two type of sampling method. Scholar will be taking the help of simple random under
probabilistic method to select the sample size. Sample size is 20 managers of Tesco.
