Effectiveness and usefulness of the learning experience
I think week wise projection of the learning seemed beneficial for me in achieving a
deeper understanding of the usefulness. As a matter of specification, I developed my skills,
abilities, knowledge and competencies in conducting quality research. Within this, U came to
know about exposing proper approach towards topic selection. I learnt that it is time
consuming process. In spite of that I devoted a quality time to select the right topic. I think it
proved effective in terms of proving my capability. The research, which I conducted for
selecting the topic, enriched my awareness about the recent trends in business. Here, I got the
support of peer reviewed journals, which upgraded my knowledge on the subject matter of
the research.
Objectively description of the learning process
In the initial stages, I learned the basic concepts related to the literature review and
methodology in a research. Within this, I gained quality knowledge about selecting the right
topic for conducting a research. With the help of the tutors, I came to know that making a list
of the possible topics is beneficial in terms of saving the available time. After this, I selected
the topic of “Challenges faced in managing global virtual teams and strategies to deal with
them.” Here, data collection from journals and internet sources broadened my thoughts on
incorporating relevant information in the research. Prior to the initiation of the research, I did
not forget to read the guidelines thoroughly.
Evaluation of the learning
After learning the basics of the research, I got to know that evaluation is an important
component. This is in terms of discovering the drawbacks within the writing process. I can
point out the instructions of the tutors regarding preparing the rough drafts for the chapters.

Along with this, I also learnt about writing proposals for the research. I felt these proposals
are like prelude to the chapters, setting the grounds for the basic issues.
Explanation of the learning process
Research in the initial stages expanded my ideas regarding the wide ranging topics
and their implementation in the research. Here, I found that relevancy is the keystone for
reaching to the minds of the audience. Enlisting the possible topics helped me in assessing
my capability on writing skills. Researching on the selected topic of “Challenges faced in
managing global virtual teams and strategies to deal with them”, enriched my grip over the
academic writing. Along with this, I also gained knowledge regarding data collection for the
research.
Future scope of the practical application of the learning
After learning the process of writing a research paper, I think I can produce my own
thesis papers. This would enhance my personality. Researching on the management of the
global teams has enhanced my skills as a leader. Therefore, in future, I can apply in
management courses. Apart from this, I can utilize the learning in conducting self-
assessment. This would help me in maintaining the balance between my personal and
professional life.
