INTRODUCTION
Management of human resources in the health & social care where recruitment plays very
vital role because they required to retail clinical or non clinical staff for the longer period
(Abdelhak, Grostick and Hanken, 2014). Organisation need to maintain staff morel, provide
opportunity for the development and build ability to to provide healthy services to their patients.
To be understand better, Care Home is British company which serve Health & Social care
services to the general public. This report include the various strategies which build effective
team who can achieve organisational goal & objectives that is regarding Health & Social care. In
addition, it include the understanding of system which required for monitoring and promotion
which develop the individual work in the health & social care.

2.1 Explain different theories for the effective team that work in Health & social care
Tuckman theory: This theory majorly focuses on team work and how they tackle the
different situation and complete their task and is will be mentioned below:
Forming: In this phase, team members totally depend upon their team leader who guide
them on each and every stage. For this, manager of Care Homes need to ready lots of answer due
to team purpose.
Storming: In the team work, it is not easy to take any decision without any cross
question and team leader or manager have to face various challenges. To resolve this issues,
manger of Care Homes need to focus on their goals and have to share a common goal.
Norming: In this phase, manager have to distribute authority or power without any
confusion and it will be accepted by the other team members. Team required to take short
decision of their own, required commitment toward works and engage with social and fun
activities.
Performing: In this stage, team already know their work and what exactly they have to
do. Because team member share the common vision and they can perform of their own without
the interference or participation of manager in any task.

Belbins theory: Belbins believes that every individual have different personality which
define the different characteristic of an individual. It include 9 role which is categories into 3
parts such as:
Action Oriented Role: It include the Shaper, Implementer and Compete Finisher (CF)
these are those people who help the team members by facing various challenges, obstacles and
have courage to push other to work well. Implementers are those who convert the idea into
actions and CF is the person who check that weather project is completed or not.
People Oriented Role: It also include those people who plays different role such as
coordinator who take all the responsibility and guide the team. Team workers who support at the
time of performing any task with team members with full of effectiveness. Resource investigator
are the innovator who find new ways of working which help organisation to achieve their goals
& task (Best and et.al., 2012).
Thought Oriented Role: In this role, it include the Plant who is creative thinking person,
Monitor Evaluator (ME) is the best analysis who evaluate the idea and then measure it's pros &
cons. Last role is Specialist who have specialised knowledge which required to fulfil the job role.

Team work: Team work is the process where whole team members give their efforts to
achieve common goal or objectives. With the help of various approaches, manager can develop a
effective team who help the Care Homes to achieve their targets or goals.
Their are various approaches available to build an effective team and it will be mention
below:
Effective communication: With the help of effective communication among the team
members help the organisation to increase their goals. Manager need to build strong relation with
team members so they can share their problems. At the time of performing their duty in the team,
each member need to share information so it will eliminate the conflict & confusion. Manager of
Care Home need to provide regular feedback for the regular improvement.
Team size: For the effective team, management need to optimum size of team so they
can perform well without any confusion in team. Optimum size of team is 5 to 12 members
where leader can handle it.
