INTRODUCTION
In current circumstances, it is necessary for any of the organization that how important role
is being played by information system in accomplishing the goals. Information system simple
allows to make working condition easier and faster with more accuracy. If any of the entity
adopts some of the useful technology within the organisation, then it will be helpful for them
because chances of errors will reduce automatically (Abbasi, Sarker and Chiang, 2016). The
recent requirement itself tells that survival is only possible if proper technology will be utilised
as per the required manner. As per the current scenario of the world, it will be important for any
of entity that they must be able to conduct multiple number of task which is only possible if
implementation of technologies can be done after having proper research. On the other side, it
also allows to reduce the percentage of effort from human as work can be performed as per the
requirement. While talking about the project, there will be number of information which will
allow to understand about the concept of IT and its overall effect for any of the business
association. The concept of Enterprises Resource Planning will be explained in brief too. At the
end, recommendation will be mentioned.

tackle any of the situation. The concept of Enterprises Resources Planning will be discussed

Categories of information systems
Information System (IS) can be explained as the process where different components are
used such as input, processing, storage, output & control action. The main purpose behind
performing this activity is simple as it allows to process the information in that particular manner
through which understanding about the technology becomes easy task (Fichman, Dos Santos and
Zheng, 2014). If any of the organisation is able to implement the technology in required manner,
then there is higher possibility of achieving the goals. Number of types of IS can be seen like

Data Processing System (DPS), Management Information System (MIS), Decision Support
System (DSS) & Executive Information System (EIS). When discussing about Data Processing
System, it is the data storage in effective manner through which chances of securing the data for
long time period increases automatically. DPS is also understood as Transaction Processing
System. It is because it is essential to do the transaction on a daily basis which misusing or
breaking the security. This types of system are mainly seen within the business entity where
work load is more and number of activity is to be performed. In this respective situation work
can be managed easily in it. While discussing about Management Information System (MIS),
these types of information are helpful for the process of collection of data whether it is internal
or external. It is mainly done for the purpose of presenting the data for manager which allows to
bring the positive result or even decision making process becomes easier. It is can be easily said
that there are number of cons and pros of MIS. On the positive side, it simply allows to present
the information in the form of weekly, monthly as well as yearly too(Vom Brocke and
Rosemann, 2014). But, on the negative side, it is said that MIS do not have any sort of flexibility
which might create issue as well. Whereas Decision Support System, it can be explained as the
process which simply states that decision can be effective only in that respective situation where
proper planning has been done. DSS can easy provide number of ideas for taking any of the
decision. There are number of other form as well in which it is necessary to understand that data
can be presented in the form of table as well which is effective decision making process. If any
of the work can be managed properly, it will automatically help to obtain suitable result. When it
comes to Executive Information System, it is explained as the process where planning and
plotting can be done easily and even there is the option to review every single work due to which
chances of errors reduces automatically. It is helpful in that particular situation where
information is not managed in a systematic manner as it allows to bring positive result out of
nowhere. There are number of situation where presented information are of complex in nature
and in that respective situation EIS can allow to develop the information in simplest form which
can be easily to understand for an entity. It mainly emphasis on presenting the data or
information to simple to complex format (Schwade and Schubert, 2017). In short, EIS can be one
of the effective tool which can easily allow the company to meet out its target as per the
requirement. It is not limited up to here, as it provides additional opportunity in which entity gets

the chances to do proper planning before making any of the decision whether it is suitable or not
which will automatically reduce the percentage of errors.
ERP systems
Enterprise Resource Planning, is understood as software which is essential in current
scenario as it allows to manage the transaction system of a company through which opportunity
to achieve the target increases automatically. The area which it mostly manages is related with
account, procurements, PM (project management), RMC (Risk Management & Compliances)
also Supply Chain Operation. Whenever any of the company takes the help of ERP to perform
business activity then in that particular situation creditability of an entity can be improved. Also,
in this particular situation option for the company increases in the field of planning, budgeting,
predicting as well as reporting within the company’s Financial result. Any of the business
organisation has to face number or problem while performing any of the business activity but in
this respective situation it is essential to understand that ERP system makes the working
condition favourable through which target can be accomplished easily (What Is ERP, 2019).
Here, flow of data can be managed in a systematic manner where data can be easily transmitted
to every department of a company from top to bottom level. It will be essential to understand that
in this types of process, there is a limited scope that data can be prepared more than the required
number. This are some of the positive side of ERP system which is simply allowing the company
to adopt or relay on ERP system. The scope of ERP is not limited up to this much, as it is also
essential to understand that number of situation occurs in front of the company where they are
required to distribute the data to number of people which can be done effectively with the help of
ERP. Also, time duration for the distribution is very less. From the discussion, it is clear that it is
an essential system for business organisation which can easily allow the company to perform
better but there is certain condition which might have a negative impact too. Firstly, if an
organisation is unable to perform the task in a systematic manner then in that respective
situation, entity might have to suffer from number of problem. Also, communication of
information should be essential so that chances of obtaining the result can increase at a greater
speed. There are number of small organisation which is unable to utilise their resources, but ERP

system can easily allow them to enhance their performance and chances of obtaining the goals
can increase significantly (Kerr, Troth and Pickering, 2020). The limitation of this particular
section is not limited up to here because it gives opportunity to the company to perform business
activity from any part of the world. There are number of benefits and disbenefit which can be
easily seen within ERP. The best side for company is that customisation of work is possible in it
which can easily cover all of the aspects (Veit and et. al., 2014). But, if manufacturing
application is not being used as per the requirement then in that respective situation number of
problem may occur. The another negative side of ERP is that it is one of the expensive process
which cannot be affordable by all of investors.
The benefits of ERP systems in a real-life business
Whenever any of the business implements any of the technology or system within the
organisation they mainly focus on the benefits. In in the same manner, it will be essential for the
business organisation to understand that they have number of benefits of ERP system in a real-
life business. The first thing which company can enjoy is that they can easily identify about way
through which unnecessary expenses can be reduced through which resources can be utilised
easily. It is also a system software which enable the organisation to reduce unnecessary errors
through that obtaining the positive result increases automatically. The number of benefits are not
limited in it as it also gives the opportunity to communication in easiest way among the several
department of a company (Bourgeois, 2018). As information can be transferred to different
department easily so it will be easy for the company to complete the specific work in given time
period. Even it also allows to evaluate the performance which can give the opportunity to reduce
the risk percentage which always plays the necessary role in obtaining the goals. This are some
of the essential area through which company can easily allow to accomplish their target and even
it will allow them to sustain within the market for longer time period.

Here, it can be assumed that somehow information system is among most effective means
for enhancing the organization's actual performance. Company range could be quickly increased
when they are willing to use program technology throughout easiest way possible. There seem to
be multiple number of information system which can be used by the company according to the
necessity as it provides the ability to improve the output intentionally or unintentionally. There
are numerous cases under which organization would be unable to evaluate the operating style
template, so if they can use the Executive Information System, then in that respective situation
they can easily sort out the complex situation. At another end, ERP is among software that can
be of great benefit to the business because they'll be able to use it with a successful outcome
because expense can be reduced and that would have an effect at sales growth.
There are number of organisation who install the system software within the organisation
but at the same time, it is essential for the management team to ensure that they will guide their
employees that how those technologies should be used in effective manner. It is also, advisable
to the company that they should must have proper planning whenever they adopt any of the
technology within the company so that chances of occurrence of problem will reduce
significantly. Lastly, for the purpose of raised the standard among the small business entity, they
are required to utilise ERP because that will allow them to take effective decision on a regular
basis.
