On the basis of the week nine readings, it can be very well said that sound communication and
proper coordination play a vital role in success. In the reading, the importance of the intercultural
management has been discussed. The reading covers and highlights the four competencies which
are required to manage the intercultural management effectively and efficiently and the four
competencies are intercultural Sensitivity, intercultural communication, building commitment
and managing uncertainty. It can be very well said that Management of intercultural aspect in an
organization is very important which will increase the overall performance and the
communication system. From the reading, it is very clear that if we are actively interested in the
other people’s culture and their background then it will make us easy to learn about the different
culture in an effective manner. If we understand the perception and needs of other different
culture then it will surely enhance the management of the intercultural aspect effectively and
efficiently. It is also evident from the week nine reading that if we want to manage the
uncertainty in an effective manner then we are required to open our doors for cultural diversity
and simultaneously we need to explore the new approaches. On the basis of the week, nine
reading I can say that building the commitment and sound relationships play a crucial role in
developing the vast sound networks of contact which is necessary for the effective growth and to
adopt strategic advantage. Besides this, the reading material also mentioned and highlight the
need for active listening and adapting proper communication style and system for effectively
managing the cultural diversity and intercultural aspect in an effective manner.
Through week nine reading material I gained the knowledge about how to manage the
intercultural relationship in an effective manner. This week provided me the basic concept and
essential competencies which is required for managing the intercultural aspect effectively.
