Key concepts of our cultural brains
This reflective report deeply evaluates our cultural brains. In this week, I gained my
understanding of the cultural brain that could be imperative for increasing the awareness
about culture. It could also lead to comprehend the intercultural interaction, which would be
supportive to get actual knowledge about our brain (Fee, 2019). The main cause of
concentrating on this is because of the deep imprint, which our enculturation leaves on the
brains of individual and because of this situation it tends to practice the shortcuts in
simplifying world we observed (Fee, 2019). For example, the tendency of an individual for
stereotype people.
I also read many articles related to our cultural brains for making the current decision with
respect to others (Fee, 2019). A culturally intelligent manager could also deeply evaluates the
concept of our cultural brains due to gaining their learning about the judgment, perception,
and behaviors of an individual (Fee, 2019). I also enhance my understanding of the cognitive
categorization process in which an individual could consider certain factors like senses and
our central nervous system organizes & categorizes. It will lead to getting a favorable result
for making the perception towards others.
It could also lead to an individual for categorizing the people in two parts like out-group and
in-group. Apart from this, it is found that the culture could create bias perception among
individuals. It could also create biases in the study (Fee, 2019). I observed that there are
different components that might affect the perception & interpretation level of an individual
like selective perception, projected similarity, ethnocentrism, in-group bias, homogeneity
effects, and attribution errors.
An individual could consider such factors and make a reliable decision in the context of the
current matter. I also improved my knowledge of our stereotypes (Fee, 2019). I observed
that Stereotypes exist in the mind of people that could be indirectly and directly causes itself

to come true. I deeply analyzed that an individual should entail certain elements named
Subconscious, Ethnocentric, Exaggerated, and Sticky. Serotype could directly impact on the
overall decision of the firm. Moreover, I deeply evaluate serotypes for implying it in the
upcoming period in a suitable manner (Fee, 2019).
At the time of gaining the understanding of such factors, I face many issues as it is related to
the communication, materials, and level of understanding. I was not aware of the concept of
our cultural brains hence it was a fresh topic on which o gained my understanding that create
some timing issue for exact understanding about the concern. This learning directly
influences my attitudes and behavior towards others and any specific situation that is a big
achievement for me. This process also improves my professionals and personal life, which
leads to making favorable relation with others. This leaning also facilitates me to comprehend
how a world perceived, how we react, and how we organized itself that is imperative for
getting reliable outcome (Fee, 2019).
