Abstract
This report states about the IS/IT projects by Vodafone Australia that is the prediction of
autonomous vehicles that will help the people of Australia in their daily life. This report
identifies the method for the conflict management among the team members and also provides
the overview of the leadership style of the project manager that can motivate the team members
for performing effectively. There are also the approaches for the stakeholder identification
discussed in this report with the effective communication methods among the stakeholders. This
report also identifies the potential risks that can arise during the project and there are also
multiple tools that can be used for evaluating and addressing the risks. This study concludes that
there should be a strong network on which the revolution of the autonomous car can be created
by relying on and inventing the self-driving cars. The network helps the organization for
supporting the effective communication between the cars. The implementation of the self-driving
cars needs the ultra-reliable network and huge strength.

Introduction
Information system in the project management is very essential for delivering the
information regarding the project (Marchewka, (2016). The project manager uses the tools and
techniques for collecting, combining and distributing the information through the manual and
electronic context. Information system in the project management used widely used by the entire
management for communicating with the team members or stakeholders. IS/IT in the project
management helps in project planning, executing, and closing of the project ad help in achieving
the goals.
This report states about the IS/IT projects by Vodafone Australia that is the prediction of
autonomous vehicles that will help the people of Australia in their daily life. This project aims to
discuss the issues with the project quality and how the issues can be addressed by using the
effective project management tools (Obeidat & North, 2014). This report identifies the method
for the conflict management among the team members and also provides the overview of the
leadership style of the project manager that can motivate the team members for performing
effectively. There are also the approaches for the stakeholder identification discussed in this
report with the effective communication methods among the stakeholders. This report also
identifies the potential risks that can arise during the project and there are also multiple tools that
can be used for evaluating and addressing the risks.
Scope of this Project
This project is built on the evaluation of the travel system in Australia that will be backup
by the smart and advance system. The organization is planning for implementing the advance
transport system where the 5G technology will be implemented for bringing the changes to the

economy of Australia. By doing this project, the company Vodafone will be able to have the
strong reach in the rural areas and the development of the ITS technological system will create
the best effect on the people’s mind. While defining the potential scope of this project, the
developmental team will define the particular user stories for the participant of the project. This
will help the team of manufacturing for understanding their team members and the work to the
project development in some stages.
Current State of the Organization
There should be a strong network on which the revolution of the autonomous car can be
created by relying on and inventing the self-driving cars. The network helps the organization for
supporting the effective communication between the cars. The implementation of the self-driving
cars need the ultra-reliable network and huge strength. This needs the low latency and must have
the ability of working at anytime and anywhere. The organization has now focused on making
their 5G technology more powerful that they can plan for implementing in the autonomous cars
that will be based on the development of the network architecture and maintenance of the
effective communication. In the current state, the development of the IS/It project and launching
the key model of the autonomous vehicles can be looked on. The company was struggling to
develop the new technology, which will be highly effective and efficient in the environment.
After their inception of thinking, they have launched the 5G mobility laboratory that will be the
main place to conduct the proper test and use of the 5G system in the autonomous vehicles
(Kyösti et al., 2017). The organization has been started with the testing process o the C-V2X that
is the new technology and useful support the key features for the safety of transport. This is
known as the part of the ITS that will help to connect the infrastructure of the roads, pedestrians
and vehicles. The organization is currently working for the development of the automation

industry to support the manufacturing and the development of the autonomous vehicles. The cars
will be incorporating with the C-V2X, which will combine the low latency network and the high
bandwidth connectivity. With the C-V2X and 5G technology combination, the technology will
be able in increasing the automated and assisted driving and will enable the leading
transformation in which the cars will be able used in the better way.
Issues related to project Quality
From the previous project, the followings issues can be identified that can rise in the
quality of the project.
Quality depends on the customer
Every customer thinks about the quality differently and if the client is not satisfied with
the quality then the quality cannot be delivered successfully.
Expectation of the clients
A project is always undertaken with the agreements and the agreements are related to the
requirements, deliverables and goals. If the organization does not understand the requirements
and deliverables as well as cost and time, then following the delivery will become hard for them
and the quality expectations will be missed (Van Offenbeek & Vos, 2016).
Rational agreements on the requirements
The clients will based on the requirement agreement and this means the genuine
requirement. If this is not adjusted properly in the project plan then this can be problematic to the
collaborative agreement.

Any early adopters of the service can be able to afford for being more tolerant with the
lower specification and less requirements but the late adopters wait more for the better
specification and their expectations increases with time (Kerzner, 2017)). Therefore, continuous
improvement can be the big issue in the project.

Quality is about producing the outcomes for conforming and using the requirements. The
requirements and expectation will not be limited to the tangible outputs (Alias et al., 2014).
Because of this there can be implication on the customer experience and there can be issues with
the transition of the information system and the customer can experience the intangible
outcomes.

Flowcharts can be used for documenting the flows of the work process. This tool can be
used for determining the breakdowns or the bottlenecks which are in the process. The steps of
the flowchart will provide the image of the process and how this can resolve the uses in the
process (Ensmenger, 2016). Flowchart can be used for showing the changes in the process while
the improvements are made for showing the new process.

variables. The possible issues and effect related to quality are represented by the variables. This
tool has multiple unique advantages for improving the q1quality of the project for any certain

Leadership Style for Motivating Team Members
The project leadership of the project manager is very vital aspect in the project
management of the Vodafone Australia for their autonomous vehicle project. Every leader must
have the different leadership styles, which will depend on their experience, personalities and
philosophies. Various types of leadership will affect the environment as well as the team
members.
 Autocratic Leadership: The project leaders will have the authority and they can give
instruction to the team members in a proper way, which will help the team members to
work correctly (Fiaz, Su & Saqib, 2017)).
 Democratic Leadership: In this leadership style, the project leaders focus on building the
group and commitment to the team members in the decision making process. The project
leaders will participate with their team and can motivate the team and this is very
essential to achieve the goals (Hendriks & Karsten, 2014).
 Coercive Leadership: The project leaders can use this style when they faces issues while
the communication. The project managers can give the direct order to their team and can
have strong control on the situation.

In this problem solving method, team members come forwards for discussing the issues
with open mind and then the project manager can focus on the issues can resolve the conflict and
provide the team members other solution and this can happen by collaborating with each other
(Tidström, 2014).
Reconciling or Compromising
Sometimes for the conflicts, the project manager needs to think about the middle path
where the team members decide for giving up and identify the resolution. This strategy can give
a solution to the parties.
Avoiding or Withdrawing
In any conflict situation, any party can think about withdraw or avoid by maintaining the
silence (Brown & Raymond, 2014). Therefore, avoiding any conflict situation can provide the

previous projects, these methods were used for building the virtual relationship with the virtual
team members of this project.

Though face-to-face is not the electronic or virtual communication, but most of the team
members prefers the face-to-face communication or meetings at the formation of the virtual
group which can build the personal relationship in the most effective way (Pauleen & Yoong,
2001).
Conventional electronic communication
Telephone are one of the important communication method as this is the most familiar
method to most of the people. Telephone calls can be used for the formation of the virtual team
for getting know someone very quickly without meeting physically.
Internet-based communication
In the internet-based communication, there can be email and video conferencing. Using
the email anyone can send any formal message to other team members virtually and with the
video conferencing tool, the team members can conduct their meetings without meeting
physically. This will be very time saving way of communication.
