Multiple reasons that have informed my decision to work with you. First, I have been a big

committed to its course. With the impressive work you have been doing and the number of
people who have passed through your organization to become successful salespeople, I am
convinced that working for you would be quite fulfilling. Besides, I have also had a desire to
work in a challenging and dynamic because I believe that this would help me to develop my
skills. Since the pervious organization that I have worked for have not provided this
opportunity, I have found your organization as the only place where I can achieve this. One
other factor that has attracted me to your organization is the value you attach to your

2. Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do and
what was the outcome?)
I have worked with various teams in my previous positions to achieve specific objectives.
Working in groups may be challenging based on the fact that different individuals within a
group may possess certain patterns of behavior, which makes it difficult or easy to work with
them (Isaac & Carson, 2012). Although some of these collaborations with other team
members have been challenging, I have learned a few things that have made my subsequent
group collaborations more fruitful. One of my most notable group exercise was while
working as a sales assistant for Euroland. One of my responsibilities under this position was
helping the organization to achieve more sales especially for new products. In one of the

years, we decided to test the waters by setting overambitious targets never witnessed in the
organization before. As a sales assistant, I was to play a pivotal role in making this a reality.
In this regard, I took it upon myself to offer the necessary support to members of my team to
make the realization of the objective more efficient. As the leader of the team, I designed a
roadmap through which the sales targets would be achieved and assigned each member
specific responsibilities. In addition to assigning each member of the team-specific
responsibilities, I also encouraged them to work collaboratively because working individually
would harm the end goal of the group. By setting specific targets for each member and
encouraging them to work as a group, we were able to achieve the anticipated sales targets.
3. Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (What did
you do and what was the outcome?)
During my time as a sales assistant, I took an active role in helping my organization to
overcome some of the barriers that had hindered it from posting desirable results in several
months. Employees may be tasked with various responsibilities, which require them to
identify new and more efficient approaches to achieve the desired objectives (Yuan and
Woodman, 2010). As the person tasked with the responsibility of setting and overseeing the
realization of sales targets, I took time to understand why teams within the organization been
performing poorly despite all the efforts put in place by the management. In my analysis, I
identified various aspects that had contributed to the outcome. Some of these were lack of
role clarity among various employees as well as an inadequate motivation among the
employees. Lack of role clarity provided a loophole through which some individuals became
inactive leaving the rest to do all the work. While deviating from what was used as a norm in
the organization, I decided to divide the work among individual members as opposed to
groups. By having specific roles for each member, each member made an effort to complete
the tasks assigned to them in time and as per the requirements. This significantly contributed

to making groups more efficient and productive. I also collaborated with the management to
introduce a new policy through which exemplary employees would receive bonuses. The
policy made employees more committed to their work, which led to overall productivity
within the organization.
4. Tell us about a time when you had to manage several different priorities and complete
several tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
In my previous position as a waiter, some of my responsibilities included the management of
multiple customer accounts and reservations. This means that I use to attend to multiple
customers with various needs simultaneously. I addition, I was also responsible for the
provision of recommendations to improve the dining experiences for various customers.
Sometimes I would have to attend to multiple calls from customers, attend to customers who
were there physically within our premises and advice various customers about the available
alternatives that would meet their requirements. Carrying out all these tasks simultaneously
would be overwhelming at the time but this never deterred me from ensuring that all
customers were attended to satisfactorily. In the long run, I was able to emerge as the best
waiter in the organization based on my ability to manage multiple priorities and handle
various tasks simultaneously. I did a few things to achieve this. First, I ensured that each task
was completed before embarking on another. I also took time to understand the requirements
for each client and never took multiple orders from different clients to avoid any unnecessary
confusion and complaints
5. Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your
point of view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
Working with a team can be challenging at times. In most cases, however, the ability of
the team leader to successfully deal with divergent opinions among team members is usually

the first step in the realization of success (Barreto and Hogg, 2018). To improve the
productivity of teams within one of my former organizations, I decided to focus on building
strong relationships among individual employees within the organization. My decision was
based on the conviction that a united workforce would lead to productive teams and
individuals within the organization. There were, however, some objections to this approach
by some who believed that if employees became too close, they would focus on personal
issues as opposed to their professional responsibilities, which would, in return, lower
productivity(Vigatsi and Amuhaya, 2019).
Additionally, those objecting to this idea also argued that strengthening relationships
within the organization would create an environment where employees would easily have
their way at the disadvantage of the management. I was however, able to convince them by
citing various examples of organizations that have used this approach to improve their overall
performance. I also explained the advantages associated with collaborations in the workplace.
The outcome was that they all agreed to support my proposal and work hard to see it fully
implemented.
