APPLICATION FORM (maximum 200 words per answer)
Why do you want to work for us?
Thanks for asking this question because I have lots of things which I can share with
you. The major point is that I was looking for such platform whereas I can use my knowledge
and skills which I developed from my last job (Sekarwinahyu and et.al., 2018).
Unfortunately, I did not get such platform but when I saw finance assistant advertisement on
your company’s official website then I really got excited. Prior, I research about your
company to gather extensive information like positioning in the market, market size, working
environment and others. Thus, I find out that FES Group is a mechanical and electrical
installation company in the Stevenage in UK which is quite close to all shops and amenities.
FES Group has aim to become one of the largest privately owned and family managed
business in Scotland along with 2000 staff. This company conducts fewer training program as
well in order to support ambitious applicants to learn how to offer financial services, online
banking developing expenses report and others. Apart from this, I saw feedbacks of post
employees who have given over working environment and management support that made
me more excited. The reason behind is that I want such management team who allows their
staff to communicate with them directly and resolves their issues on time. Another is that I
always want to work in friendly environment because I believe that effective and friendly
working environment brings prosperity and mutual benefits in the business. So, I think that
your company is best for my career orientation.
Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do and
what was the outcome?)
I have worked in many groups till now but the experience with the well-known group
‘The Toastmasters International’ taught me numerous skills which I can use in contributing
positively to the progress of the organization. The organization I worked in is headquartered
in the US and I was a part of its clubs which are operated worldwide. Its main aim is to
promote communication, leadership and public analysis (Eugster, 2019). But to become a
part of the club, one needs to deposit a certain amount to the club although it is a non-profit
organization. I initially became a member of that club by paying the amount. The objective
behind joining was to be perfect in leading and communicating (Elkins, 2019). The club
organized regular meetings every week in which all the members are supposed to speak on a
topic given at that time and the meeting is divided into various segments like prepared

speeches, table topic sessions and many more. The additional point of the club was that it
rewards some individuals on the basis of their performance which motivated us a lot.
The discussions taught me the leadership and communication skills and later on I was

I joined Royal Bank of Scotland after completing my graduation that time I was bit
confused that I doing right to join job or not. The reason behind is that I decided that initially
I will take practical knowledge while working in real workplace then I will do MBA. There
were various new things which was new for me like financial service, online banking, prepare
tax return preparation and others. Frankly, I did not know anything because all was different
which I studied during bachelor’s time. The common thing was account and calculation
expertise that always supported me to keep my recognition in the bank. Initially manager of
Royal Bank of Scotland assigned me job as cash holder then they provided training me and
other new joiners to make us multitasker for all banking operations (Billed and Care, 2020).
Then manager of the Royal Bank of Scotland assigns different tasks per week to analyse our
performance effectively (Lewis, VILLASENOR and WEST, 2017). I also assign different
tasks by finance manager like offers financial services, online banking and resolves all issues
related account for a weak. First day of the week and last day of the week were quite
memorable days for me because in first day I was thinking how would I do but I completed
number of tasks without concerning about result. At the last day when my senior authority
analysed my whole work then whole team of Royal Bank of Scotland praised me because I
completed all tasks while maintaining quality. Even I was surprized how would I complete

Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and
complete a number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was
the outcome?)
When I was in Royal Bank of Scotland that time, I usually perform number of tasks at
different positionings which were used to assign by finance manager. As know end year of
the month is quite hectic for the bank industry because they have to complete all pending
documents. The reason behind is that banks have to prepare new record with new year. That
time Royal Bank of Scotland bank was lacking behind staff productivity so most of the
responsibilities handles by other staff members (Serido and Deenanath, 2016). In the peak
period, finance manager of the company got unwell due to weather, so whole responsibilities
of finance manager assigned me by finance manager for a week. So, it was big task for me to
assign number of tasks among staff member and complete other responsibilities as finance
manager. Well, I assigned different tasks among finance team and I completed my all
pending work which already assigned by finance manager. Apart from this, I supervised all
staff performance work and supported those employees who were facing issues while solving
issues of accounts. Thus, I completed all assigned tasks in weak and performed whole
responsibilities of finance manager effectively. The entire staff of Royal Bank of Scotland
and specially finance manager praised me a lot which made me feel better.
Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your
point of view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
I assigned a project by manager of Royal Bank of Scotland with deadline of 20 days
(Harding, Hopkins and Barr, 2017). The project was based on prepare a financial service
report that must comprise two-year record of those companies who have taken financial
services and others have applied for it. Initially I was thinking that’s quite easy project. But
when I saw lots of written document of those businesses which have taken financial services
and data entries of those companies which have applied for it. I became shocked because it
would be going to take one month but I got only 20 days. So, I started my work from first day
of allotment. I made schedule and enlist my targets for each day in order to complete my task
before deadline. Really it worked wonder because I completed my project in given deadline.
It was quite time-consuming but made me learn many things. Even management of Royal
Bank gave me recognition among entire team for the best performance. Overall, my
experience was great after completing this project.
