According to the case study, Lion is one of the major beverage and food manufacturers in
Australia along with producers of beer and wine in both Australia and New Zealand. The
company follows a good and effective leadership style by maintaining the values including the
integrity, wellbeing, sociability, passion and achievement of goals and objectives together. The
culture within the company is important for promoting good working conditions and makes
progress of work with ease and effectiveness. This is basically done for engaging the employees
and ensure innovation within the workplace (Bui, 2014). Leadership is an important aspect for
promoting a good culture as well as encourages the employees at various levels of supply chains
to improve the corporate governance and ensure satisfaction of customers (Leroy, Palanski &
Simons, 2012). The ranking is done on the task readiness by encouraging diversity within the
workplace and manage the processes and people properly to enhance their skills, knowledge and
expertise level. Lion’s authentic leadership strategy has also helped in establishing good link
between the stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, employees, shareholders, etc. to manage
the business operations and processes successfully (Hsiung, 2014).
Based on the case study, the most effective style of leadership is the authentic leadership
style that has promoted good organizational values, strengths and developed good attitudes and
behaviors among the individuals to make them aware of their skills and allow them to perform to
their potential. The ranks have been put for the task readiness and it is seen that the management
of talent and diversity is considered as the first and foremost task that has been prioritized
(Leroy, Palanski & Simons, 2012). The management of people’s processes has helped in the
growth and development of careers of people and make proper plans for accomplishing the

business goals and objectives with ease and effectiveness. The people processes are managed by
including the planning for achievements and connect their roles and responsibilities with the
vision and strategy of Lion. The development of reviews has acted as a self assessment technique
for the development of a plan to support the goals and objectives with ease. The review of
remuneration could help in reviewing the wages paid to the employees and ensure that the
employees are paid well (Rego et al., 2012). This would not only encourage and motivate them,
but could also improve their potential behavior and enhance the business effectiveness for Lion,
Australia.
