INTRODUCTION
The concept of managing project can be used in order to initialize, plan, control and close
the work by the team that will help to achieve the specific goals and the specific criteria for
success will be met at a specific time (Hallowell and Wehle, 2013). A project is a temporary
endeavour in order to produce a unique and differentiated product, service or result. In the
designing and manufacturing of industrial bearings for automatic industry TSK bearings Ltd,
deal with. The report that is bee made will introduce a new technology for that company into a
new manufacturing site in UK. In this report all the activities that will be need to develop this
new technology will be discussed.
TASK-1
The type of projects
The project that is been done in this project that is in task-2 is manufacturing project. For
the cars a new technology is been developed by TSK bearings. The main objective of this new
technology that is blue motion technology is to gain competitive benefit from rival companies.
This project are been done in home or environment based pace. The management project are
other types of projects. The company makes such project when the promotion is need to be done
of the new technology. The project used by company is manufacturing project (Ilozor and Kelly,
2012). The projects are basically of 3 types they are as follows-:
Change driven – The current environment can be changed in the company to bring a chanage
Market driven –The new product is being produced as per the requirements of the market in that
response
Crisis driven –They are being produced by the company in order to response to the emergency
circumstance .
In this project thee market driven project is being introduced in order to deal with need of
market and customers(Lientz, 2012).
Scope management
A set of process are defined and mapped in this. The resources are been allocated by the
project manager in order to fulfil the techniques of scope management . A new technology that
is blue motion technology is been introduced by the company .The resources such as hardware,
software and materials, equipments etc are been disclosed for this project. The budget that is
been decided for this project is $12 million pounds and in march 2018 this project is estimated to

complete. The members will also be provided 12 months training in order to gain knowledge and
assist the implementation of new technology(Kubba, 2010) .All the work that need to be done in
order to make the project successful one is included in the scope management. The two
constraints in this project are time and cost based on the estimated time and cost the project need
to be completed.

Difference between Gantt chart and critical path
A tool that is been used for project management is Gantt chart. The timings that is been
needed to do the tasks of the project is been represented by Gantt chart. By task the time that is
been taken is presented in the form of visual presentation in Gantt chart. Between the task the
dependences is been presented in critical path. In a network digram a logical relation is been
shown. The critical paths methods need to be completed before the project is finished. The
progress of the project can be monitored through Gantt chart. Through Gantt chart the ends of
the project can be seen by project manager and project team. In the category of bar chart gantt
chart comes however the in the flow chart category critical chart comes. One of the benefits of
Gantt chat is the clarity. It is a tool which has the ability to boil done various tasks and timelines
in one single document (Rakos and et.al., 2015)..
The success measures for the project
The project will be considered as successful if it is been completed on the estimated time
that is on march 2018.In order to be a successful project the quality of the project will good that
means it should be without errors. The review of quality can be done in order to examine
whether plans of questions are met or not. The highest priority is been given to project cost
management In order to see the success of the project the satisfaction of stakeholder can be seen.
It is important to achieve the objectives of the project within the scope as if the objectives are not
achieved then the risk of project failure will be there. So, in order to make it a successful one it
need to be achieved. In this project the constraint are time and cost so within the estimated time
and cost it need to be completed (Lientz, 2012.)..
Managing a change in a project
The aims of the change will be defined in order to mange the change in a project. An
objective plans and strategy will make keeping in mind the goals of the change. A project
management groups will be created in order to bring change in a project. The analysation of the
budget, scope, or availability of resources can be done in order to bring a change. A risk is an
occurrence of unplanned event in the project. The cost risk can be there in this project when the
project is not completed on the estimated that is decided for this project. This can cause delay in
the project and may exceed the budget for the project. In order to manage this risk the budget
need to be constructed keeping in mind all the cost and resources that will be required for this
project.

In project evaluation the judgement can be made about the progress and impact of the
project. In order to see that is there any change is needed in the project the monitoring and
control is done.
By monitoring the track of implementation process is been kept. The methods such as
informal reports, graphical presentation, project financial status reports can be used in
monitoring. The informal reports, project status reports, hand information, project progress field
etc are the methods that can be sued for project evaluation (Janda and Killip, 2013).
Project control cycle is discovered on statistical quality control and it is simple continual
improvement. The basic cybernetic theory is followed by this tool. The project managers need to
develop an environment in project management where any change to project plan is fed back as

and sustain competitive advantage. In the business the new technologies are being introduce by
the car manufacturing comparison to be more innovative in the market and gain competitive
advantage from rival companies . By making use new technology in the business they will be
able to face the challenge that has come due to globalization and will able to sustain in the
market and also quality serveries will be delivered by them. The company TSK bearing s
Limited is planning to introduce a new technology that is blue motion technology in cars to
expand the market and also to be competitive in the UK (Griffith,Stephenson and Watson, 2014).

In this project the two theories are used. These theories are as follows-:
The risk management theory is being used in this project in order to find out what all risk can
take place in this project and also the ways in which this risk can be minimized is also being
provided in this theory(Addis, 2012).All the risk that will be there in the project can be managed
by this theory which is used. The occurrence of risk , management of risk can be done through
the risk management theory. With this any obstacle that can be there in the project can be
recognized and based on that risk the strategies will be planned by the company.
The communication theory is also being used in this project in order to determine how to
meeting regarding this project will take place and who all are the key members who will take
part in these meetings or presentation. The main objective of communication matrix is to
discuses the progress regarding this project. With this aim of project, purpose etc can be
presented to team members and in the project the communication will also take place effectively
and there will be no miscommunication among team members (Lientz, 2012.)
Executive committee – It is a body of people in which the entire executive authority of the
organization is presented. It includes the board of directors or the sub-committee of the board.
Steering committee- The people are been charged with regular oversight of the project. In the
project they present all significant areas of participation and on behalf of those areas they have
authority to take decisions. They include Vice Presidents, departmental heads etc. To the steering
committee the project director and project manager will report(Janda and Killip, 2013)..
Project manager- For the conduct and success of the project manager carries out day to day
activities. Over all the resource of the project manger will be having control.
Staffing plan
In this project the roles and responsibility of the staff is been included that are as
follows-:
The project manager – The overall responsibly and accountability is been given to project
manager in order to develop the project. They take part in the planning , controlling as well as in
monitoring. The plan of the project is been developed by them in the project planning phase. By
them the objective of project, scope and millstone etc are been found.

The deputy project manager – About the maintenance plan of project they are been given the
responsibility. The administrative report to the project manger is been provided by them (Lientz,
2012.).
Project team – The project that is been given to them is completed by them with the budgetary
cost ,schedule and quality requirements
Financial – All the financial information regrading this new project will be made by them.
Quality – The quality standards are developed in order to develop guidelines for quality .In this
the experience of client is included.
Technician- The coordination and accountability is been done regarding the new technology tat
is blue motion. The operation in a specialized area is been performed with specialized technician.
Legal – The health and safety laws and other laws will be implemented in order to reduce the
chances of injury and accidents (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017).
Scope
The new technology that is blue motion technology will be introduced by the company in
the cars. The meaning lies itself in blue motion technology. That is our planet earth is personifies
in the term “blue” and to the movement of auto mobiles the “motion” is referred to. On the
theme of eco-friendly measures and ideas this technology is based and in order to protect and
conserve the environment without compromising the auto mobiles performance (Lientz,
2012.).. For green tomorrow it is an essential milestone and is also complete set of new
innovations. Due to increasing level of carbon emission from auto mobiles the environmental
issues such as global warming, change in climate, ozone depletion etc are been caused. By taking
all these factors into consideration the blue motion technology is been developed and in their
auto mobiles it puts its solution. On the areas such as engine with new technology it focuses and
in order to give minimal carbon emission it provides revised engine mapping. With optimized
gear ratios the transmission system is there .It also makes use of low rolling resistance tyres. In
order to move the car forwards they will need less engine power thus saving fuel and will also
help to cut emissions (Kubba, 2010) .
Resources
People- The humans resources will be required in order to get this project done. In a team of
project a group of people are included. To the members who will be working in this project
training and guidance need to be give to them.

Capital – In order to accomplish this project a budget will be estimated and it will be around $12
pounds. In this the purchase and building of manufacture site will be included.
Material goods – In order to make this project the software licence will be needed. For this new
technology the hardware will be needed. In order to complete the task people will need
equipment. As a project manager the decisions need to be made about what all equipment’s will
be needed. For the materials the vendors that supplies the materials need to be managed (Rakos
and et.al., 2015).

In order to complete the project all the four stages need to be followed by project
mangers. Any type of project in a business can be managed with project life cycle. These steps
