INTRODUCTION
Personal Development refers to the activities through which an individual improves his/ her
talents, prospects, awareness, employability and capacity to perceive dreams and generate
wealth. In simple words, it can be defined as what a person does to enhance him/her in prospects
in life. This is the lifelong process where people analyse their qualities and capabilities, sets goal
and try to achieve them with their full potential. This report deals with the topic managing self
and others, where various topics can be analysed and understood in detail. Report emphasise on
concepts associated with the career development strategies, analyse the evolution of lifelong
learning and skill development with the help of my own PDP and SWOT. Further this report
elaborate about the topic of high performance of individuals and team; by discussing that how
high performance people are developed by the effective performance management in form of a
blog and later illustrates that how high performance strategies allows to reflect my work
effectively as a part of team.
QUESTION 1
a. Personal Development Plan
PDP is an arranged and supported process that is taken over by an individual to evaluate
his/her own learning or performance or achievement related to their career, educational and
personal development, as PDP provides a roadmap to achieve the goals in one’s life (Shaheen
and Hameed, 2020).
Before I make my own PDP, I will analyze my core competencies to know my capabilities,
creative skills that helps in completing specific tasks, I will also highlight my weakness that I
have to work on, opportunities that I may grab and the obstacle or threat in my life which stops
me achieve my goals with the SWOT analysis. I am a 25 year graduate working with TokTok,
currently into 2 year graduate recruitment programme. I joined Telecom Company while I was at
university and at my workplace I was encouraged to enter into certification course on managerial
leadership and management development course and rejoin my department as junior manager.

going to be higher achievements which would be present in them for their career options which
they have selected. The career options of all the individuals are very wide and of different fields
but they need almost the same kind of skills which is required in an individual to be able to
achieve the success which they have planned. Planning is another very important skill which all
individuals must have making them be able to have a sense of direction in which they must be
working. Without a sense of direction the individual will not be able to achieve the success and
the career options they have selected for themselves. It is very important to stay self motivated
which would make them be able to work towards their career options very quickly (Tai and
Kareem, 2018). There are a lot of strategies which can be produced by an individual to be able to
achieve their goals and develop themselves accordingly. As an individual I have to make sure but
the skills in me are improving daily so that I can achieve the career options and goals which I
have set for a long term. If the skills are going to be missing in me that would just make me feel
demotivated can also make me not want to work further in the right field which I am interested
in. having the right skills is going to help me be able to achieve those factors and make me be
able to plan out my career development accordingly. There are a lot of changes which are
coming in the market which the company needs to adapt and without having the right employees
they would not be able to do so therefore it is very important for me to develop these skills
effectively which is going to help me and the company be able to grow and achieve our
objectives and goals in the market effectively (Agarwal, Brooks and Greenberg, 2020).
There is a process which is present in order to be able to achieve the career and personal
development. As an individual I will have to plan my sense of direction for the career
development according to the skills which are present in me. I need to first understand the
importance of each skill and understand the skills which are present in me and find a balance

improvement which all the individuals can have but they need to brush them up from time to

Define and communicate goals and objective:- In making their performance high and more
developed for their achieving tasks goals and objective. Performance management should
communicate their goals and objective to people of their organization and make them proper
communication for work (Myers,2020). Sometime employees may not be clear for their
information about company performance they might be had some questions, and they are
confused about that asked or not. Solution can be goal tracking software which could help them
that their performance being completing tasks goals and objective. Goals tracking software
creating office charts, distributing emails, holding meeting. When they outline their goals and
objective, repeated messages might be seeks, so that employee has their references and hold
