INTRODUCTION
There has been a rapid growth in the technology in last few decades. Development in the technology
has bought some opportunities as well as major challenges in an industry. It has completely transformed
the way of doing business. Digital technology is an evidence of rapid development in technology. It
provided business entity an opportunity to adopt new techniques of marketing and promotes its goods or
services at national as well as international level. However, at the same time increase in utilisation of
digital technology has given rise to competition and other types of risk. Many firms have adopted
several strategies as well as techniques to deal with challenges created by digital technology.
The purpose of this assignment is to develop an understanding about the concept of
digitalisation. It focuses on different types of challenges created by digital technology. Other Objective
of report is to analyse the techniques which has been adopted by Tesco for coping with challenges of

resources. Digital technology has supported an organisation in increasing working efficiency as well as

on human resource and technology. Manager in Tesco enterprise has designed new processes,
operation , formulated new process in order to develop themselves as per the latest business trend. It
has been identified that by utilising the digital technology many of the firm has become more customer
centric. The growth in digital technology has given rise to the intense competition in industry. It has
become very much challenging for an enterprise to maintain its sustainability in highly competitive
environment.

There are several types of research methodologies which can be used by scholar for
facilitating investigation. The various types of research method has been used by researcher in
present investigation, these are:
Research Philosophy- It includes the beliefs about the techniques or strategies which can be
adopted by scholar for collecting the information or data. A research philosophy is also
considered to be the important part of investigation process. Few research philosophies are
Epistemology, axiology, ontology, positivism and interventionism . Research philosophies assist

scholar in identifying techniques which can be adopted by them for reaching conclusion. It also
supports researcher in making suitable decision. In the present investigation, researcher has used
interventionism research philosophy.
Research Design- It is recognised as the roadmap which guides scholar towards achievement of
research aims and objectives. There are different research designs which can be utilised or
applied by researcher for conducting different activities. Explanatory, exploratory, descriptive
and experimental are some form design which can be utilised for executing investigation. In
present research study, scholar has use explanatory research design in order to gain depth
knowledge about the topic.
Data Collection - The two sources from where data can be collected are primary and secondary
source. In present study, scholar has utilised both sources for accumulating information or data
related to research topic. The researcher has collected data or content from primary source. As
this strategy has been adopted by the researcher in order to avoid the chances of plagiarism. The
two techniques which have been used by investigator for gathering data is questionnaire and
interview method. Secondary information has been collected by accessing various resources like
books, journal, article m newspaper, magazines etc.

few participants from large population. Cluster, systematic, probability, random are some
sampling techniques. In present study, researcher has selected 20 people by applying the simple
random sampling technique. Employees are the participants those who will support researcher
in gathering the information about the method adopted by Tesco for dealing with digital

Data Analysis- It is considered to be a process of refining data or information in order to make
content useful for user. Data analysis technique helps researcher in reaching conclusion as well
