Abstract
In this research paper, the vital role of the MANET network in IoT is discussed. MANET if
the wireless network, which is auto-connected and self-organizing in the decentralized device
or system. The MANET network helps in creating the connection among the nearby smart
devices in the same network. This paper aims to find the integration of MANET network in
cloud and IoT and the way in which the MANET network will play a significant role in the
next generations. This paper improves the role of the framework of the Cloud-MANET to
communicate among the IoT and smart devices. The outcome of this research study is to
build the new framework in the system of IoT.

Introduction
Background
Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) has a vital role to play in Internet of Things. These
are a type of wireless networks, which are self-organizing in nature and are automatically
connected to a decentralized system. Using the smart devices, the MANET users can move
from one place to another place in the MANET network range. Multiple MANETs are able to
connect to the single cloud and they utilize the service of cloud in real time. MANET
interface between Internet of Things and Cloud computing is an important topic to research
on as with every passing day IoT and cloud computing are being adopted by the
organizations.
Research aims and objectives
The aim of this research is to find out the integration of MANET with IoT and Cloud.
The advantages that this system can provide to any organization will be understood from this
research.
The objectives of the research are:
1. To understand the system that is MANET interface between IoT and Cloud
2. To find out the advantages of this technology.
3. To understand the role of MANET in Internet of Things.

The role of MANET in Internet of Things and Cloud services needs to be analyzed in
this research. The importance of the same and contribution to next generation computing are
to be found out from this research wok.

Literature review
As per the research done by [1], MANET is considered to be a popular network that
helps to get connected anywhere and anytime. Cloud in this case provides various services
for storing as well as accessing informations. Cloud-MANET integration can be used in case
of machine to machine (M2M) networks as in these types of networks there are many devices
in the vicinity of one another. MANET is the well-known network for being connected
anytime at anywhere. To store and access the information, cloud provides the service. The
integration of MANET and cloud provide the access facilities to cloud inside the MANET
network of the smart devices [2]. In real time, the users of smart device tend to connect with
each other, where no network will be present. These users of smart device in no network area
can build the MANET network among their smart devices.
Discovering smart devices in MANET
MANET network is able to connect all the smart devices in a decentralized system. Al
the smart devices need to be located on a 3D surface in direction of x-axis, y-axis and the z-
axis. The entire place is separated into cells in the MANET network. The cells are fixed in
their area so that smart devices will be able to travel in the MANET Cell range [3]. The smart
devices then can discover the nearby devices in the binary digit in the small area. In order to

Within the range of MANET network, smart devices are put, which considers the
connectivity and the coverage. The smart devices are expected for having the altered
correspondence range and connection [4]. Initially, MANET has the dynamic state. When
any device wants to establish the connection with the other smart device, the MANET
remains inactive all the time and it establishes the connection with the nearby devices in the
discovering area.

network. There will be more applications in every sectors using the IoT, who are using the
MANET network currently [7]. The success and effectiveness of MANET network in IoT

MANET will play a vital role in the ubiquitous computing and this technology will be able to
integrate seamlessly with the heterogeneous devices and network [8]. This technology will
provide multiple services as per the demand and will offer reliable and secure
communication.
Research methodology
The research methodology of this study makes this study less likely, which the
outcomes of this research paper based on MANET are biased, though this never protect
against the publication bias in this primary research study. The qualitative and subjective
research methodology will provide the information about the MANET network and its
advantages and benefit for the smart device users with the empirical method. By using the
appropriate methodology, the detail knowledge can be get about this study.
Conclusion
This paper improves the role of the framework of the Cloud-MANET to communicate
among the IoT and smart devices. The outcome of this research study is to build the new
framework in the system of IoT. This research study can be used for the efficient and correct
simulation of this research study, which can be applied in the framework of the IOT. In the
MANET modeling of the cloud based services for device-to-device integration and
communication may be very significant approach for improving the abilities of the smart
devices. The users of smart devices can use this strategy for discovering the systems and
reduce the significant information in the big data.
