I would like to recommend the post of Chocolate Mixing Operative for Mr. N.A. Ajobby, after
going through his health surveillance form. I have carefully gone through the surveillance form
and noticed that Mr. Ajobby had issues relating to sinuses, hernia, low back pain, dermatitis and
other minor injuries.
I have read requirements of all the job posts and found the post of chocolate mixing operative
best suited for Mr. Ajobby. The job requirement includes unblocking of the bean-loading
machine with a prod, which can be performed by Mr. Ajobby, I believe. The tasks needed to
perform for the post involves minimum physical activity and less to no use of chemicals and
hence Mr.Ajobby is fit to be appointed for the job.

However, I would not recommend other jobs for Mr. Ajobby, as those involve heavy physical
activity and exposure to chemicals as well. The job of production line operative demands the
candidate to monitor chocolate machine line that requires eight hours of standing and carrying
wrapped and packed chocolate boxes. A physically demanding job, it might put further strain on
Mr. Ajobby’s health since he has issues of LBP. Another post is that of the factory mail and
general delivery where average physical fitness is necessary. Mr. Ajobby would not be able to
perform this job, as it requires continuous movement of heavy packages to long distances and he
had surgeries previously for the removal of inguinal hernia.
Mr. Ajobby, in his previous job has had exposure to grease that led to him being infected with
dermatitis, a skin disease. Hence, it would not be possible for him to carry out responsibilities
required for the general attendant job. This job demands working with chemicals for general
cleaning of the factory area that could escalate Mr. Ajobby’s skin problem.
Mr. Ajobby cannot perform the last job, which is of a store operative, since it requires operating
with a forklift truck. As mentioned in the pre-employment form, he does not hold a forklift-
driving license. Moreover, the job also entails physical activities that might harm Mr. Ajobby’s
health.
I have been informed that 90% of the vacancies have been filled up and the factory needs to start
operating within three weeks. Therefore, I would recommend Mr. Ajobby to the post of
chocolate mixing operative. He is a native of Lesserpool has had previous experience that would
prove beneficial for Choco Bloc company for operating successfully in Lesserpool. In addition,
the job requirements would ensure no further detriment caused to his health.

As Health and Safety Advisor of Choco Bloc, I would like to recommend the HR department to
make sure one or two helpers in the workplace accompany Mr. Ajobby. In addition, the company
must also ensure presence of a health professional within the workplace to ensure proper care
and safety of the employee.
