Facts of the case
On 14th August, a man, Marcus Donoghue had killed while cycling between 11:00 PM
– 11:30 PM and on 11:20 PM, he knocked off from his bike by an unidentified vehicle and
killed on Merton Road. He was a celebrity chef from Greater Molling. At the time of incident
at Merton Road, a silver Audit was been seen speeding away from the scene. Police do not
found the bicycle and believed to be a red racing bike. There is no CC-TV footage of the
crime point.
Main suspect with counter arguments
After studying the entire case, Marcus Donoghue’s wife, Jennifer Donoghue aged 42
years is found as the main suspect. She is a well-known fitness instructor married Marcus last
year at Gigglestown Manor. The doubt begins when a neighbour at Greater Molling, named
Sue Barkley, 92 had said that Mrs. Donoghue often used to drive silver car as the same was
seen by the witness, James Mountford, mayor of Gigglestown.
On the day of death, she said that was not at her home and was at her sister’s house in
Little Molling to look her dog. She said she was cooking dinner and then watching DVD.
Although she had agreed that doubt she usually drive a Silver Audi A3 but on that night, she
said that she was driving Marcus’s old red Volvo which he often uses to collect local farms
produce. When she asked its reason then in response, she replied that her sister’s Labrador
can jump up at cars and scratch it. Suddenly, she got a phone call and gone to the hospital.
Here, the question is how she already know that in which hospital, Marcus was even the
caller did not told her (LaFave, 2017).
Another reason for doubt on her is that on the time of death between 11PM to 12PM
on 14th August, her sister’s boyfriend Davide Romano made repeated phone calls that were
unanswered. If she was present that time at home, than why she didn’t picked the call. When
she asked with it, she kept silence.
In view of restaurant manager at The Queen of Hearts, Geoff Howes, Marcus was in
stress and worried from sometime. It is because, competitor, Grey Goose has been creaming
off and wants to know that how they are delivering exceptional quality services at lower
prices which may drive price war and defeat Queen of Hearts. He had a big suspect about it
because Gigglestown is a very small town and does not seem to be a market for two high-end
restaurants. Similarly, receptionist and PA at Queen of Hearts, Sara Alam who always had a
good personal friendship with Marcus said that before just one day, Marcus said that Grey

Goose was just a flash in the pan and Michelin will ultimately wins in the end. He said James
Mountford is the shady businessman who is just trying his luck in the restaurant trade. Still, it
was not a big concern, the main concern for him was his marriage, and the couple did not
have a good relationship. Even before the marriage, Jennifer said that she was pregnant and
made Marcus obliged to get marry with her. However, as time passes, her pregnancy news
found false. Just before a week, he also text her that his marriage is almost over and he could
not forgive few things like he was thinking to get divorce but at the same time, he was
concerned about how he would pay to her if they divorced.
From the laptop of Mr. Donoghue, it was discovered that from the last 14 days, he
was frequently visiting website, Justice4horses which state that Elite restaurants are
delivering cheap horsemeat in substitute of Giggleshire beef that exposes horse scandals.
Moreover, he visited dating website that specializes in extra-marital affairs between the ages
of 38-40. It suspects that he might have marital affairs with someone. The profile details of
laptop were in the name of Stew, aged 40 which still remains unknown (Rakoff and
Goldstein, 2017).
Bike that is the main evidence of the case was found by Giggleshire Chronicles when
one officer received a phone call from women on night desk on 13th September. The bike
found in badly burnt position in the Old Gigglestown Deer Park and in the forensic
examination, it was found same make & model to that of missing bike of Marcus Donoghue.
In line with the post mortem report of Dr. Ellen King, it was a high impact crash and Mr.
Donoghue must had been hit from behind with high force with high speed. In forensic test of
bike, red paint traces were found on the burnt car frame that might be of red racing car of Mr.
Donoghue. The park, in which, burnt car was found, head-gardener, Nigel Warts was the
elder brother of Jennifer which make suspicion strong about her. However, in such situation,
the counter argument may be that if Jennifer is the killer than why she had left her car after
burning it to his brother’s garden which makes case strong against her. Besides this, Juan
Hernandez Alberto had exposed in Grey Goose’s horsemeat scandal. In Past, when he was
working in Lima, Peru he was under the police investigation but it collapsed due to
unavailability of enough evidences. Thus, it might be a possibility that he may killed Mr.
Donoghue as he may knew about the horse scandal made by him but if it happens, than the
question is who was the caller who informed Giggleshire Chronicles about the burnt car
(Simbeye, 2017). Moreover, the identity of Stew is still unknown in the case. Despite these,
when she Jennifer was interviewed second time by Police and even questioned with simple

questions like did she love her husband and did they had a good relationship, she did not
replied, however, at the time of death, she was crying and said she lost everything. It makes
suspect stronger against her and found actual murderer.
Conclusion
Evidencing from the facts of the case till date, it is a great suspicion that Jennifer
Donoghue seems murderer because she was not at her sister’s home when accident occurs.
Moreover, she cheats him before marriage and the person who informed about the burnt car
was a lady, might she was. Lastly, when she interviewed with all things, then, she did not
replied.
