INTRODUCTION
Marketing is the positive activity in which marketing manager promotes the product and
services with the help of marketing tools. It creates value and clear vision to accomplish the
business objectives. On the basis of given assignment, it will explain about the PESTLE analysis
which is a tool for identifying the external environment that helps to make new business
strategies. Marketing process is a positive factor of business model. It gives many advantages to
accomplish the organisational goals. Marketing is the key essential by which company sale its
products in an efficient manner. In this given assignment, it will explain about the marketing
process of Mark & Spencer and its PESTLE analysis which helps to achieve the target in an
effective manner (Zalengera et.al, 2014) Mark & Spencer is the well-known brand retail
supermarket in UK. It provides clothing, home furnishing products, food and beverages across
the world. Mark & Spencer helps provide quality of services to their potential buyers. They have
800 stores all over the country. There is one business model which shows the essential features
of the company and helps to achieve the final target.
Main Body
Political: Political factor is an important factor which is mandatory for the company to
abide (Abbott, 2015). Like some safety & health for the customers, risk control. In this, political
factors give brand image in front of the society and government. Government sets some rules and
regulation so that company doesn't give any harm to the customers. It helps to protect the risk
and gives brand value to M&S.
Economical: Economic factors are uncertain and it involves huge risk. From this
uncertain issues Mark and Spencer make strategic plans and ideas so that they protect themselves
from risk events. But on the other side sometimes they suffer heavy loss and decides to close
some stores. Economic factors involve positive or negative effects as well. Due to changes in
political parties, M&S profit revenue has decreased. These political factors affect the company
objectives. Like government of British change its employee policies which affects the employee
status of M&S.
Social: Social factors are based on the customer preferences i.e. on the basis of individual
choices. In this factor, company has to adopt new technologies and strategies to compete with
their competitors. Like recently, Mark & Spencer chief executive decides to grow its business
