ď‚· Opportunities: As I am having good and effective communication skills, therefore it is a
great opportunity for me to work in the global or multinational organisations where I can

fully utilise my skills and talents. This will further provide assistance to me in improving
my existing skills as well as I will be able to adapt some new things also.
ď‚· Threats: It is a major threat for me that I have less technical skills and due to which I can
face such challenge in the highly upgraded and developed technological advancements in
near future as I would not be having that much of knowledge in the near future (Donitsa-
Schmidt and Ramot, 2020). About these technologies.
After making a personal analysis of the skills as well as opportunities and threats, I took a
decision regarding choosing marketing as my upcoming profession. Communication as well as
negotiation skills have helped me in taking the decision for choosing marketing as a career field.
I have also attended a wide number of workshops and seminars for enhance the base of my
knowledge and information in the respective field. This is beneficial for me as now I am able to
gain the understanding of the job profile of the marketing manager and it is also helpful for me in
order to analyse the skills for choosing an effective career path (Guthrie and Jenkins, 2018).
Within my academic period, I have also done and attended online training as well as
development programme. I have also some of the certificates that are concerned with the career
field of marketing that also enhanced the base of my knowledge along with the skills and
abilities in this career field. I have also done some of the part time internships due to which I
have some working experience too. I am interested in choosing marketing as my job profile
because in this career field, I will be meeting with a large number of people on the regular basis
that will provide assistance to me in the process of improving my networks. This will also help in
selling the products as well as services of an organisation in a more effective manner. This will
help me in improving my sales and negotiation skills.
I have not chosen the field of marketing on the basis of my secondary research or through
my personal skills but I have done primary research also through which I am able to determine
the future trends that are upcoming in the career field of marketing. Through my research, I have
observed that in order to become an effective marketing manager, a person requires a wide
variety of skills such as technical skills, strong administrative skills, problem solving skills,
decision making skills and many more (Jiang and et.al., 2019). The development of these skills
within an individual helps it in achieving the goals as well as objectives that are related to the
career. I have also evolved some of these skills that will help me in performing the job role of
marketing manager within an organisation.
