INTRODUCTION
The presentation is in the context of the marketing as a profession. This presentation will also
identify the various career paths in various marketing fields and the numerous job profiles that are
under these marketing fields. It also includes a graph to illustrate these career options. In this
presentation, I will also identify my strengths in relation to these possible career paths. Also
possible challenges will be identified and the ways to overcome them using these strengths will
also be stated.

Marketing can be described as a set of institutions, activities and actions for promoting and
selling goods and services to consumers and also includes processes that aim at creating an
interest among people for the company’s products or services, communicating with the
potential customers, delivering the product or services to the customers and exchanging
offerings that have value to the prospective parties like clients, partners, customers or even
society at large. It also includes market research and advertisements.
Marketing generally involves four Ps often referred to as marketing mix, which are- product,
price, place, and promotion. These are the key elements for an effective marketing of goods
and services.
