INTRODUCTION
As I wanted to work in a marketing field, I aspire to be work as an area marketing
manager in a renowned organisation. I have identified that one should have possession of some
specific set of skills in order to work in that field like good communication, leadership,
influencing and negotiation skills, team work, information technology skill-set etc. In the
following report it will be examine that, the required qualifications and abilities to work as a
marketing professional will be discussed and also identify the skills I lack specialisation in and
what essential actions to be taken and proper evaluation will be done in order to improve them in
a specific time period.
Personal Analysis:
I wanted to build my career in marketing field for that I have done my graduation with a
majors in marketing. To do work in this field one should know how to conduct marketing
research, understand market trends, conduct promotional and advertising events and activities for
the products and services of the organisation they are working in. identify the potential market
segment which need to be targeted, construct pricing strategies. Working as marketing
professional it is their duty to present the establishment in a positive light and try to convince the
consumers that why they should use or buy products and utilise services offered by them and
how they are better in comparison with other companies (Chowdhury and Miah, 2019). To carry
forward these activities with full efficiency various diversified and distinct skills should be
possessed by the person. These essential abilities include the efficient knowledge of I.T, group
handling techniques, leadership skills, negotiation and persuasive abilities, good oral as well as
written communication efficiency and analytical, strategical and interpersonal skills etc.
The skills which I develop during my internship with marketing firms is that I get to learn
people dealing, vocal communication, how to identify potential market and basic of technology
or computer skills. I have also total 3 year of experience working in different small or medium
scale companies under marketing domain as marketing executive and later on as assistant
marketing manager. I develop several more skills during my work tenure I effective
communication, influencing skills and various logical and analytical strategic formation abilities
for the application of effective marketing strategies. I also learn the market dealings with the
distributors, agents and clients. The expertise I lack in, is following:

Informations technology department as the technology changes very frequently and new
software's and applications were introduces daily, it hard for me to keep up my pace with that
ever changing behaviour. Every organisation have their different software through which they
operate all their functions as now-a days every thing is computerised and digitalised and require
regular updations in which I am lacking (Di Gregorio and et. al., 2019).
Adaptability: I personally lack in adapting to different situation at single point of time. This is an
important factor in marketing field as customers have different preferences and every different
task or project have their specific requirements, industry trends will change frequently so its
most important to manage a balance with that differentiation in demands and needs in which I
find myself back-swept and I need to work on it.
Social media management: There are various applications and platforms introduced in the
digital world of social networking. These apps will definitely make your life easier and have a
facility to reach out to global customers and its one of the efficient tool in the current generation
to quickly spread the work or marketing or advertising any products or service of your company.
Almost every organisation now a days use social media platforms to their promotional activities
and also launching products online (Roux and De Jager, 2016). These application are convenient
but there are so many applications for which I don't have enough knowledge to operate them in a
productive manner. So , I should spare some time and learn to operate them for better
productivity and accessibility of information and self development.

CONCLUSION
Through the above research I have learned the different expertise required to successfully

specification required by the people to start their career in that line of work. I also found out that
there are still several skills remaining, which is required for me to work on and emphasise on
