INTRODUCTION
I am going to present this that Marketing is a department which concentrates on selling
the products through different marketing plans and policies. This department also makes
strategies for advertising and promotion of product in such a way that target market can be
covered in the best possible way. This report will focus on the reflection of principles of
marketing & communications in a digital world. In addition to this, Gibbs reflection cycle will be
taken to make the understanding more clear and detailed.

Description:
Throughout this study I have learnt that to grow in the market organisation, one should
come up with some new and innovative product. It will help the company in creating a different
position in the market as every person likes to try new product. It is really important to have a
marketing department which can focus on increasing the sales through advertising and different
marketing strategies (Quinton and Simkin, 2017). In addition to this, I have also learnt that
product is required to be improved on constant basis in order to sustain in the long run in the
market. New and improved products will help in giving a tough competition to the competitors.
As this will help in attracting focus and concentration of many customers due to the new feature
and innovation of the product. Other than this, while conducting this study it has also been
determined that every organisation must follow its own pricing strategies which should be made
after considering all the aspects of cost and profit margins. In this group activity we were 4
members who had made the complete study on the principles of marketing & communications in
a digital world. This will help me in knowing the key competitors of the company and the reason
behind the development of the product so that competitive advantage can be gained.
Feelings:
During the group presentation I have felt that it is really important to analyse about the
market before planning or coming up with something new. This will help in knowing more in
detail and allow more growth and safety in the future. I have grown my confidence by this group
activity from before as I came to know more about this and gained knowledge and information.
Other than this, I have also gained knowledge about different market strategies and pricing
strategies as well. This has also allowed in growing my personality as now I can suggest to

people regarding the different concepts of marketing mix which can be applied to business. I
have learnt that we all were coordinating through video conferencing and doing the research
project in the best possible manner. The major thing that went well is that major knowledge has
been gained through the project and we all four coordinated so well. In addition to this, while
preparing for the same it was tough for us to maintain the understanding due to different thought
processes. As some topics is tough to understand another's view due to arguments and different
thinking process. So while preparing this project sometimes it was tough to understand each
other's point of view.
Evaluation:
The experience of this group activity was really good as we all have studied things in
detail and learnt so many new things. It was a great experience of working and analysing the
market (Waters, 2017). This has also helped in learning about the segmentation and targeting
customers on the basis of the product wants and needs. Every organisation should target market
after considering various factors such as income, age, need and wants of people. This has helped
us in knowing the strategies behind the evaluation of the market and positioning of key
competitors. In addition to this, it has also been learnt to regard different medium of adverting
and its advantage and disadvantages. This has made me realised that different knowledges will
also help in future as marketing is something that is required in every business organisation to
carry the process effectively. It also leads to achieve growth and profits in the future. I have
evaluated that my major contribution has been towards determining the target market and
analysing the study. I have also contributed in the group by collecting all the resources for the
study and examined that every thing is going in effective manner or not. Other than this, entire
group has given different suggestion and ideas to carry the project further. All the other group
members have also developed different strategies to carry the process in timely manner. The
work is divided among all group members and each one is assigned with different
responsibilities. This assists in developing presentation in an effective way.
Analysis:
From this group activity I have learnt various strategies of marketing and new product
development. This group activity has also made me understood that product are required to be
improved in order to sustain in the long run in the market. New and improved products will help
in giving a tough competition to the competitors (Emery and Chang, 2017). Other than this, I

have gained knowledge regarding theory of Segmentation, targeting and positioning where I
have got to know about different nation and their demographic, geographic, psycho-graphic
factors. Hence, it helped in my overall growth and development as an individual.
Conclusion
From this group activity I have learnt that there are various factors of marketing which
can be used for development and growth of business. This will help in self development
regarding different pricing and marketing strategies (De Mooij, 2018). New and improved
products helps in covering the major market as every person likes to try something new which
fulfils their requirements. So it can be said that the certain requirements of this group activity
which has been carried out in most effective manner can be very effective as well.
Action plan
I lack at managing the thing in well manner while carrying out the things and the same
can be improved by working on my management skills. This will take around one month and for
the same it can be said that feedback can be taken from my colleagues and other member of
group. Other than this, I also lack at effective presentation and for the same I have made focus on
my presentation skills and its development for my next group activities and projects.
CONCLUSION
I have been determined in this Present study that has been based on reflection of
principles of marketing & communications in a digital world. From which it has been
summarised that it is really necessary to have a marketing department in company which can
focus on increasing the sales through advertising and different marketing strategies. In addition
to this, I have also came to know that different marketing plans and policies are used by the
manager to grow and develop the business.
