Mac Cosmetics Presentation
While working with my team for the group presentation, I learnt lot
many things which helped me in researching and writing about the
assignment. I observed points given by team mates and noted them
well which eased off each of us a lot. The discussion went long to
select a topic. No doubt, it was a tough decision to select which
Business Module to go with, but then we finally concluded to select
marketing mix as that will give us a clear picture about the entire
organization. Strategically, we further divided the entire topic into
segments, each member covering and researching about one
particular component. The formation of this division was done to
make we all earn and explore about the topic. Researching
secondary data and approaching the outlet and company managers
helped us in gathering a lot of data. The brochures and company
information afcourse aided us a lot in collecting the notes. All the
data once gathered were framed and consolidated. It was a good
and a nice topic which we choose as we did shopping to have a real
picture about the product and its high quality.
Further, the collection of data and information were merged with
help of my laptop. We started forming the presentation and topics
as what and how to start and formulate the presentation. We were
finding a good template so that it is more presentable and looks
attractive pulling the eyeballs of my fellow mates and the professor.

which matched up well with the organization punchline “all ages,
all races, all sexes”. The company’s exotic product portfolio helped
us in gathering information about the component factors “product”
and “price”. All the points were well noted about the products, their
prices, in comparison with other brands and summed up. Came
across several products which I was unaware of and bought a few
for my own purpose. We came to knew that this brand came into
existence as a photographer and a makeup artist was furious that
no brand and no makeup can sustain for long durations. The shine,
the quality, the glamorous touch has surely made this product
reach its boom. While discussing about the experience of the last
two factors with my friends, place and promotion were the two
major ones. Flagship stores and outlets were outnumbered catering
various product segments to its customers. The discounts and
vouchers were provided targeting females of all ages. Various
attractive promotional strategies were formed so that the loyalty
and trust can be build, in turn aiding in customer branding. Brand
icons also aided in promoting the brand. Word of mouth has always
formed a good promotional strategy, but then the distinctive
strategy of “viva glam’ campaign was in implementation to have
large pool of customers. Pros and cons of various promotional
strategies came into our knowledge.
All the necessary information which was imperative in the
presentation then were summed up. We deeply analyzed each point
being written so that the topic well matches with the content.
Shaving of few irrelevant points were done so that presentation
covers all imperative information and data is mentioned keeping it
in line with the topic.
A real look of the corporate life was noticed and I learnt while
having tete-a-tete with the manager of the organization. The job
was always considered a simple task, but in a gosh I crossed that its
tough forming strategy, selling and doing everything. I was choked

to see the tasks and responsibilities he was carrying. This surely
showed the path to the driver of my ambition.
We had regular meetings and practiced the way the presentation
had to be presented. The cooperation and coordination among my
teammates aided in exploring the marketing mix. A classic
interaction and explorations of several factors of this brand helped
us in giving a new look and vision towards the company.
