INTRODUCTION
Professional development can be described as providing training which will help in career
growth in the future. Personal development refers to activities that help in developing individual
capability. Personal development involve formal and informal activity for the development of
others. In this report role of marketing manager and career planning is discussed. Challenges and
how to overcome with competencies is also discussed (Aryabkina and et.al., 2020).
MAIN BODY
Field of professional interest : Marketing
My interest is in marketing field because this field has many opportunities and most of the
companies hire marketing students at high package. I want to become a marketing manager as it
plays important role in the company. A marketing manager helps customers in solving their
problems and directly contributing in the growth of the company. I am having good
communication and writing skills which is required in marketing manager. I have the quality of
managing the time properly and also have the ability to make creative and innovative plans. I am
good at analysing the market and gathering information from the customers about what their
needs and expectations from the company.
CAREER PLANNING
Candidates who want to become marketing manager should have all the necessary skills like,
creativity, time management, planning, knowledge about social media etc. There are different
type of roles for marketing manager i.e., advertising director, account executive, account
coordinator, media director, media planner, project manager, promotion manager, advertising
coordinator etc (Osodlo, and et.al ., 2020). I choose marketing as my interest field because
marketing has wide scope and there are lot of opportunities in the field of marketing. For
becoming marketing manager I have to do MBA in the marketing and there I will learn lot of
new things which will help me in achieving success. There are other career opportunities in
marketing field like, marketing communication, digital marketing, social media marketing,

problem and this will save time and money.
Boundless enthusiasm: Marketing manager have passion regarding their work. They do their
work with full dedication and remain enthusiastic all the time (Galustyan, Berezhnaya and
Beloshitsky, 2017). They never find their work boring, they always enjoy their work.
Work in team: Marketing manager always work in a team, they are not working alone. As in
marketing a team is required for achieving the target of the company. Teamwork plays an
important role in achieving the goal of the company. Manager should divide the work among the
team members (Schommer, and et.al., 2020). When work is divided everyone will give their best
in achieving the target.
Leadership: A good marketing manager have leadership quality. As a leader is responsible for
managing all the team members and all the activities properly. Leader give instructions and
provide guidelines to the members (Movchan and Zarishniak., 2017). A leader is responsible for
the success of the company.
