The report is based on the selection of a sports product and its description. Nike Sports
Organization of USA has been chosen in this report for the discussion. The selection of Nike as
the company is a great decision as because Nike is one of the leading Sports and Sports
accessories manufacturer of the globe (nike.com, 2019). The company specializes in the
manufacturing of a number of different sports items and sports accessories and has signed
endorsement deals with a large number of clubs and sports associations worldwide to provide
goods manufactured by them. To be more specific, the report has highlighted sports product
manufactured by Nike and has given a justification to provide a marketing plan for the product.
Name of the Product
The product that has been selected to be discussed in the report is “Nike Air Presto 2019
Running Sports Shoes”. The following shoes are highly preferred by people and especially
sportspersons who prefer lightweight yet extremely rigid and tough shoes.
Description of the Product
The “Nike Air Presto 2019 Running Sports Shoes” was first released in the start of the
millennium (nike.com, 2019). It was created with an elastic foot-hugging upper for comfort as
well as support. It has been one of the favorites of the Nike Company since a long time back.
The company has changed the design of the shoe in the modern times and the latest design
features snug, lightweight support along with a slight mesh in the upper part of the shoe for
achieving a comfortable fit (nike.com, 2019). The Company has provided the shoes for both the
men and women. The Presto shoes have been one of the best selling shoes of the company.

heel of the shoe. It also helps to provide a decent level of support to the person who wears

Justification for the need of the Marketing Plan
Marketing Plan has its own set of importance. The marketing plan helps in the
development of different kinds of products and services in the business that meets the need of the
target market. According to, Popp & Woratschek, (2016) the implementation of proper and
effective marketing practices will help the management of Nike and especially the marketing
team of the “Presto” brand to make the customers understand why the particular brand is
superior to brands in the same category. It can also help “Presto” achieve a competitive
difference and attain a competitive edge in the business market (Parganas, Anagnostopoulos &
Chadwick, 2015). However, the most important need that justifies the creation of the marketing
plan is to get a detailed financial structure of the total planning and invest accordingly.
Conclusion
The report has been able to provide a detailed analysis of the product that has been
selected to be discussed in the sports manufactured products category. The details of the
“Presto” Brand along with the justification to provide a marketing plan have been the main
constituent of the total report.
