Response to question 1: About REPLAS
REPLAS is also known for the recycled plastic products which was started from the year
1991. The company was established through by the collaborative efforts of Repeat Plastics
and Australian Recycling Technologies (ART). ART was known for its focus on the
collection of material from Kerbside and the concentration of Repeat Plastics was directed
towards the assortment of the wastes emerging from post-industrial operations. The company
manufactured more than 200 products by the process of recycling plastic (replas.com.au
2019). The company developed innovative technologies for the purpose of utilizing
Australia’s waste for producing outdoor use. The company aims at the accomplishment of a
waste free nation by reducing the rate of waste being transported to the landfills. It focusses
on establishing an ethical way of using plastic. REPLAS wants to achieve a sustainable
society with the practice of recycle, re-use and reducing plastic wastes.
Response to question 2: Macroenvironment elements
Demographic forces: Australia’s population is around 25,387,800 until June 2019. Median
age of population of Australia have grown from 35 at 1998 to 37 as of June’2018. The
increasing median age reflects the increasing rate of median population. Population of
Australia’s working age increased by around 1.3 percent (Abs.gov.au 2019).
Economic forces: The economic structure of a company grew by 3.8 percent increase on an
annual scale in the year 2018.
Political forces: Stable political environment with the support for business investments.
Ecological forces: Australia is experiencing various ecological challenges like increasing
climate change, pollution, waste dump and pollution due to infrastructural development.
Socio-cultural: Diverse population with changing demand and increasing awareness for
environmental challenges.

Technological forces- Most advance nation for technological investment. Technological
investment of around 65 billion AUD was allotted for 2019.
The changing consumer awareness about environmental challenges and increasing population
