4. Data collection: It includes the procedure to gather and collect data and information
which help the researcher to conclude the research work. It incudes two types of data
collection primary and secondary. Researcher has applied both the method to gather their
information (Hanson and et.al., 2016). Primary method is implemented to collect data
from original sources and secondary data is used to gather information from other
sources. Thus, both this method is useful for the researcher as primary method is helpful
to collect the original information while the secondary method is used to gather more of
the information from the topic which they selected.
P5 Research methodology
It incudes various methods which examined their plans and procedure to gather
informations and data through facts and figure (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017). It includes the
following methods such as
1. Research Philosophy: It includes the many types of branches to carry the research work.
In such case they apply philosophies, ideas, thoughts and expression regarding the
research activity. It includes two types of research philosophies such as Positivism and
Interpretivism (Muller, 2017). Here researcher applied interpretivism method to carry
their research work based in this method they can further interpret the data which are
collected and also helps other authors to take ideas from the matters they interpreted.
2. Research approach: It includes the proper plan and procedure to conduct the research to
carry their data and information from various sources. It consists of two types inductive
and deductive approach (Mackey and Gass, 2015). In this researcher has applied
inductive types of research to carry their research work in appropriate way. They gather
information from internal sources and then interpret such matter in appropriate procedure.
3. Research design: In this method its is based on designing the appropriate structure in the
effective way. It incudes two types of research design Qualitative and quantitative
method (Jenner, 2016). Researcher applied Qualitative method to conduct their research
work and through this method it is helpful to gather more reviews and ideas by raising
question and conducting survey through their research procedure.

5. Data Analysis: After collecting data, it is to be analysed in systematic manner to reflect
the appropriate research work. It is inspected, minimized and make it free from errors in
such a manner to take effective decision-making (Bresler and Stake, 2017). In this
researcher applied the thematic method to carry their research activity. They analysed
such objective and data collected on the theme based activity to get the accurate results.
6. Sampling: Sampling method is generally used when there is large number of population
and it s quite tough to collect data from all such sources. Thus, in such case the researcher
applied the random sampling method to gather information and resources from various
sources (Archibald and Archibald, 2016). There are less chances of getting the accurate
results but this concept is considered to be more time-consuming concept. As the reviews
of people are changes but mainly give the same results. In this research report the
information is gathered by 10 managers of marks and Spencer and also their review are
examined in appropriate way.
7. Ethical consideration: Ethical norms are to be maintained by every research, and they had
to conduct their research activity by implementing certain rules and regulation which is
imposed by government if they collect data from any restricted places (Alvesson and
Sköldberg, 2017). The researcher had to maintain norms at the time of research by not
harming any person during the time of collecting data and information either physically
and mentally. They also not to disclose any information of the company and the review
