INTRODUCTION
Strategic management is involves setting objectives, analysing competitive environment
and internal organization. That is help to ensure about management roll out of the strategies

The present report is based on “Marks and Spencer” which British multinational retailer brand

Marks and Spencer is major British multinational retailer company with headquarter in
London. The company was founded in 1884 at United Kingdom by Micheal Marks and Thomas
Spencer. The company have their specialization in selling clothing, home products as well as
food products. This is also listed in London stock exchange and current have 959 stores across
the UK. Company have some brand such as Per Una, M&S collection and energy, Autograph
and Blue harbour (Drobyazko and et,al., 2019). Presently company have 80000 employees with
37.3 million net incomes. In the recent years, clothing sales of company have fallen whilst food
sales are increased in positive manner. The company also began to sell branded good. In 2012,
Steve Rowe finally becomes a director. Company is faced number of challenges one is
decreasing sales of product and services at market and another one is digital marketing. Most of
the companies are a use digital and online marketing in order to promote their product and
services at market place but M&S is not uses this. This is the biggest challenges for company.
Methods of development
Business development is very important process which is implement strategies and
opportunity across organization for promoting growth and boosts the revenue of company in
positive manner (Herstein and Barnes, 2017). This involves pursuing great opportunity in order
to help their business growth and identifying prospects and converting more leads into the
