INTRODUCTION
Marriage and family are important concept which begin the outcomes as life long
commitment. In this context, present essay define and discuss about the marriage and family.
Furthermore, it demonstrates several marriage categories which exist in world today (Young and
Wilmott, 2013).
ESSAY
Marriage and family important aspect in the social institution. These two aspects in the
social reality for example bio-psychic and social instincts (Mondal, 2017). Marriage is the one of
the important ancient, universal and indispensable which has been existence within the inception
of human civilization. In other words, marriage is a physical, moral and legal union among
female and male to fulfil their life to establishing family. On the other hand, family consisting a
group of two parents and their child who live together in a union.
Types of marriage
Monogamy is the only legal type of marriage which permitted in the country. It is illegal
to have more than one spouse at a time. Therefore, most citizens comply with this rule. Another
type is polyandry in which one wife having several numbers of husband. This occurs only in few
cultures. Moreover, another type define as the group marriage where men and women living
together who considered themselves married to each other (Holland, 2013).
Types of Family
There are different kinds of family in which one is nuclear family which is traditional
type of family structure. In this two parents and children included. Furthermore, Single parent
family consist one parent with one or more children. Beside this, extended family structure
consist two or more adults who are related either blood marriage and living in the same home
(Steinmetz and Sussman, 2013).
CONCLUSION
From the above essay, it can be concluded that there are different types of family and
marriage exist. All has different structure and purposes to understand their living manner.
Moreover, it develops three different types of family structure which exist in the world.
