MARSDEN 302 PROJECT ENVIRONMENT - CRITICAL ANALYSIS
Introduction
The project manager contracted under AS4915-2002 Project Management is in charge
of the MARSDEN 302 project. The standard suggests that the project manager should be
completing and carrying out the services in accordance to the authorised directions and
contract agreement. The principle must pay the management fee to the project manager
including the adjustments in the fees as mentioned in the contract. The warranty of the project
manager should be that he or she should be qualified and suitable throughout the project. The
project manager should exercise due diligence, care, and skill in completing the services and
carrying out the project activities. The purpose of this project is to manage and plan the
construction of the two-storey house as per the available design. This report will be
highlighting on the facts related to the MARSDEN 302 project environment and related
project constraints those are considerable throughout the project lifecycle. This report will
discuss the major challenges considerable in the construction project in addition to the
application of MS project for the demonstration of the construction methods.
Major Challenges in Construction Phase
Parent organization
Incorporation of the unique aesthetic features can be a challenging factor for the
parent organization. During some of the instances, the developed particular design cannot
come to a reality without the application of the cold-formed steel. Moreover the organization
will come up with a solution that is cost effective and efficient for restricting the project
under budget and assuring that the project do not run over budget.

Industry (AEC)
Accidents, including fire, collision, and site access and resources availability are the
major challenges in the construction phase of the two-storey building those are capable of
impacting the overall growth and development of the MARSDEN 302 project.
Project Management Discipline
Technology, quality, scope, and performance of the project are the major concerns for
the construction phase in this project while considering the project management discipline.
The project management discipline will also be focusing on the cost, schedule, scope and
quality of the project considering the iron triangle. The schedule and cost estimation can be
the most challenging factor throughout the project lifecycle. The project manager should
follow or consider the iron triangle throughout the project lifecycle while considering the
successful delivery of the project.
The above mentioned challenges are capable of impacting the entire project and
leading the project towards failure. The project manager and other key stakeholders of the
project will have certain responsibility to make sure that these challenges are eliminated or
limited during the project delivery.
