PROCESS ANALYSIS 2
A. Hiring process
Hiring process is a very essential component of any given organization in the 21st century. An
organization with ineffective hiring process is most likely to face a lot of challenges that would
eventually lead to the weak human resource towards the organization. Maryland Technology
Consultants intends to employ new consultants who will have the ability to offer consultations
related to information technology in a timely and a professional manner. At the present situation,
the company is facing a big challenge of hiring consultants in a timely manner because of the
manual hiring process system in place. The manual process is so slow and thus it is not one of
the efficient methods. According to Waddell (2018) an integrated hiring system will enable
managers to easily access applications and sort them to quickly select qualified persons for this
reason, there is agreat need to adopt application software that would be used in hiring the
employees as first as possible. Therefore, the table below shows how the new system is going to
help in efficient hiring of employees.

improve the speed of operations in the process of hiring (London, 2019). Thus, the new system
will be adopted by MTc will have the following improvement.
Area Current Issues
(from the Case Study)
Improvements
(due to use of technology)
Collaboration: The Hiring Manager states that
recruiting is only one area he is
responsible for and he isn’t as
responsive to HR as he could
be. Therefore, he counts on the
Recruiters to help manage the
process and keep him informed.
Current manual system causes
considerable communication
breakdowns and takes
additional effort and time to
stay on top of the hiring
process.
An efficient system with all
information in one place, easily
accessible via a dashboard, and
updated in real time could
make his recruiting job easier;
and he could devote time to
effectively working
collaboratively and proactively
with HR on his staffing needs.
Communications: Explain how a
hiring system could improve
internal and external
communications
The recruiters while using the
manual system, they must make
their notes from the interview
and circulate them manually for
review. This will take a lot of
time for those reviewing to give
feedback. The manual system
will also take long to give
feedback and communicate to
the applicants.
The integrated system will allow
easy communication within the
internal departments of the
company since every
stakeholder can get
notifications and access the
information he or she needs.
The system will also be
beneficial for external
communication since it will aid
in communicating with the
applicants.
Workflow: Explain how a hiring
system could improve the MTC
hiring process by providing a
consistent structure for each
participant to perform his/her
part in the hiring process.
The administrative assistant
noted that when they are
conducting the hiring exercise, a
lot of paper work is involved. He
also stated that he would like to
see a streamlined process that
is more efficient in
coordination.
The hiring system will make the
process more efficient and
coordinated. Paperwork is also
going to be reduced. This will
achieve a smooth workflow
Relationships: Explain how
implementing an enterprise
hiring system could foster
stronger relationships with
applicants/potential
employees.
The CIO quotes that “MTC’s
success is largely dependent on
our ability to satisfy the
requirements of our clients and
maintain a good reputation of
