PERSONAL STATEMENT
Reason of choosing this course
Choosing a right course for future plays significant role in human life, that drives people
towards the success. I would like to study Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) because it is my
passion to take care patients. I am very concerned about welfare of people and like to make them
happy. Health and social care is the sector where authorities are looking for dedicated and skilled
people those who can serve better to diligent. My career goal is to get permanent job in hospital
where disable patients get quality treatment. Most of the hospitals are facing that situation where
doctors and medical practitioners are not treating people well and due to this death rate is
increasing in the place. That is why they are hiring skilled and devoted persons those who can
perform their duties well and can provide quality care to them. I am interested working in health
care field and serving users better. Thus, MSN would be the best professional course for me and
that will drive my career towards success. I want to become experience medical professional and
want to serve patients well those who are suffering from learning disabilities. With the assistance
of nursing course I would be able to get to know about medical or health care sector effectively.
Skills require
I have good communication skill and ability to answer each question which is asked by
users. I can coordinate with them easily with the help of my interaction skills. It would help me
in identifying their problems and giving them treatment for the same. Good communication skill
will develop their trust and they will share their feeling with me through which I would be able
to serve them better. Furthermore, I can give good and satisfactory answers to people. This skill
of mine will be helpful for me in satisfying diligent and giving them good care. Apart from this I
can deal with emotionally charged situation well. In hospital patients with learning disability do
not share their emotions with doctors that creates problem for medial professionals in
understanding real issue in heir health. This skill of mine will support me in becoming the good
practitioners and serving them better.
Real life experience
I have worked for two months in a care home of UK as part-time nursing assistant. When
I completed my bachelor degree, then to get training my college has sent me in this care home.
There were many patients who were suffering from physical disability, learning disability,
behaviour issues etc. While working in this place I realised that patients suffer from different

diseases but if doctors give them moral support and communicate with them properly then their
health can get improved soon. Most of the patients do not tell about their problem to medical
professional thus, nurses and other people feel unable to treat them well. While working in the
care home I experienced that good communication skills and polite behaviour support in gaining
trust of service users and giving them right treatment.
