The viability of a business measures the ability of a business to start, grow and survive in a
competitive environment. It is important to determine the financial viability of a business by
clearly specifying the costs involved in the business, sources of business and the factors that
will help in increasing the number of customers (Olsen, 2018; NRSCH, 2014). Our business
plan of Matboks lunchbox is financially viable. This is because the business involves few
costs that are essential for keeping a business running. The revenue streams of our business
will be profit earned on each of the meal and the profit procured by the partnering cafes. The
profit from each of the meal will be equal to $1.50 and the partnering cafes will also help us
in earning the profit. In addition the revenue for the business will also be obtained from the
one time customer payments. The transaction revenue of the company will increase with the
increase in the number of customers for the company. Other sources of the revenue will
include the subscription fees and the online payments done by the customers. The
subscription and the online payments will increase as the number of customers will increase
with the number of days. The willingness of the customers to pay for the meals will be high
as we are offering a single meal at just 15$. The willingness to pay is an important factor that
defines the financial viability of a business. The subscription fees for the customers is also
lees - 25$ for 3 meals and 35$ for 5 meals. The major costs of our business will include the
costs important for running a business such as the fixed costs (Marketing, Rent Salaries
Storage and Website). The business will achieve the economies of business in terms of
manufacturing the lunchboxes (Elpisdesign, 2018; Martin, 2015). The manufacturing of
lunchboxes will be outsourced this will help in reducing the overall cost and increasing the
overall revenue of the business. The value proposition of the business is that it is helping the
students to refill their lunchboxes with the notorious meals from the local cafes and
restaurants in the affordable time. The demand for the Matboks lunchbox will increase as

customer relationships will be an important aspect of the business. The customer relationship
efforts such as the Loyalty rewards program for customers, discounts or freebies will be sued
to continuous attract the customers. For example: customer will get a free meal after three
months of subscription. The customers of the business will also increase because an effective

Facebook will be used for creating a community. The social media will also be used for
gaining the feedbacks of the customers regarding their meal boxes. This will eventually help
in addressing the needs of the customers and improving the quality of the service. The above
discussion indicates that the Matboks lunchbox is financially viable as it less costs and
optimum sources of revenue that will increase with the increase in the number of customers.
