1.Explicate how health promotion concepts have been used to address health inequalities for

On the basis of current case study, it has been analysed that a high level of inequality is
being faced by the non-indigenous women comprises of pregnant Aboriginal and Torres strait
islander populations. Thus, focusing and acknowledging towards the providing antenatal care for
the Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander women is vital that can be made through implication of
health promotion concepts (Charlson and et. al., 2021). It has been also analysed that the Social
complexity along with the family disruption are the main continuing effects along with the lack
of government policies that have contributed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
having by worst health care status among the various group present within Australia. Thus,
having women centred care along with focusing on Midwifery group practice, Midwifery
continuity of care along with Aboriginal Maternity Group Practice Program (AMGPP) are
effective health promotion concept that can be used to address health inequalities.

An analysis has been made that having a women centred care is a vital health promotion
concept to mitigate the health inequalities as it comprises of gaining trust of them by the way of
effective communication which support and boost the morale and equality level for Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander women. Further, adoption of Midwifery group practise is a successful
way to mitigate the issue of health inequalities by the way of introducing a regional centre within
the Northern Territory for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to provide equality based
continuity care for women living in remote communities (Munns, 2021). Apart from this, the
implication and adoption of Midwifery group practice also leads to improvement in the overall
antenatal care for the women along with ensuring and leading out effective screening and cession
on smoking advice together with having a reduction in the fatal distress in labour which lead a
cost effective improvement in the quality of maternity care.
Apart from this, adoption and implication of Midwifery continuity care is also a successful
program to support equality in health care services through having improved cultural safety and

positive outcomes in relation to pregnancy and birth through string community links. Apart from
this, Aboriginal Maternity Group Practice Program (AMGPP) is also a vital program to support
equality for Aboriginal and Torres strait islander women that is emphasis on quality of life for
south metropolitan Perth. This, program comprises of pr0voding of a continuous transport along
with regular team home visits and employing Aboriginal staff to have improved access to care.
Further, a positive influence of Aboriginal Maternity Group Practice Program (AMGPP) is seen
on Aboriginal and Torres strait islander populations through leading a healthy lifestyle behaviour
especially for the women (Rheault, Coyer and Bonner, 2021).
