Discussions
Mathematics is a science that deals with the logic of the quantity, shape and
arrangement. We are surrounded by mathematics. Mathematics is the building blocks for the
daily chores we do in daily life that includes the devices of mobile, architecture and many
more (Russell, 2020). Since the beginning of history, the discovery of mathematics has
always been at the forefront of the society that is civilized, and in utilization in most of the
cultures, those are primitives. The requirement of mathematics arose based on the wants of
society. The more complex a community, the more complicated the needs of mathematics.
The tribes those are primitive required a little more than the capability to count, and it also
depends on the mathematics to calculate the position of the sun and the physics that is related
to hunting (Thieme, 2018).
Many civilizations have various contributions to mathematics. The Sumerians were
the first that developed the system counting. The mathematicians developed the arithmetic
that consists of the operations that are basic, fractions, multiplications and many more. After
this, the concept of zero was developed (Whitehead, 2017). As the civilizations went on, the
mathematicians all over the world started working with geometry that computed the volumes,
the areas to develop the measurements that are angular, and geometry has several practical
applications. Geometry is utilized in almost everything from the construction of buildings to
fashion and interior design. The algebra was also developed around this time. Algebra
provided the civilizations with a means to divide the resources that are assigned. The algebra
meant that the mathematicians have started solving the linear equations and the quadratic
equations and getting the solutions, those are negative and positive. The mathematicians
those lived during the ancient times began to look into the number system. When the
construction of shape was discovered, it could be said that the number system looks at the

numbers those are figurative, the characteristics of the names and the various theorems
(Hardy, 2018).
People sometimes think about the relevance of mathematics in today’s world. In this
modern world, mathematics such as applied mathematics is not only relevant, but it is also
essential. The applied mathematics is the branch of mathematics that are involved in the
study of the sociological, biological and the physical world (Baier et al.,2019). The idea of
applied mathematics is to develop a group of techniques that resolve the problems in science.
The approach that is common in the mathematics that is involved is to create a model of
mathematics of phenomenon, determine the model and then produce specific
recommendations for the improvement of the performance. According to one of the
mathematicians, the mathematicians those are pure prove various theorems and the
mathematicians those work with the applied mathematics construct multiple theories. The
used and the simple are not mutually exclusive, but these two branches of mathematics are
rooted in various areas of solving problems and mathematics.
Mathematics is used in our daily lives. For various students, maths is boring; they are
very complicated to understand. Mathematics helps us in analytical thinking. Analytical
thinking produces the capability to investigate and then know the truth about the world. It is a
thought that permits us to be alert for mistakes. This is possible as mathematics allows us to
reason clearly and logically by considering real data. Mathematics develops the capability to
think to find solutions to various problems (Gleßmer & Seifert, 2017). It can be said that
mathematics is fundamental in children education as maths teaches the children to think.
Mathematics encourages wisdom. Mathematics applies to various science as in the
technologies that are new, and it is present in the life of humans. There is a different
phenomenon in our daily life those are governed by mathematics. The mathematics teaching
assists and then enables the students to reach the convictions as it teaches the students to

resolve a problem. Mathematics helps to quicken the minds and assists to think when we face
issues those are very difficult.
Mathematics assists to open the mind and to understand that to resolve things, there is
only one thing, and that is mathematics. When it comes to the education of the students, one
of the most critical problems is that the students do not take the mathematics seriously. The
students are not interested in the subject. Mathematics is one of the most essential topics that
are taught in school. Without mathematics, physics and chemistry would not have come
(McCarron & Burstein, 2017). Mathematics makes the students sharp, and they can make
decisions quickly when it comes to making decisions in real life. It makes every student
smarter. Doing calculations is very important in real life, and it is associated with
mathematics. Everything that is done in real life depends on mathematics. Making money
also needs mathematics, and to secure a job, mathematics is required. Mathematics is the
most crucial subject that is taught in high school as well in the university and colleges.
The students observe that mathematics is boring and not creative, they cannot
understand mathematics, and this is the reason that the students do not like mathematics.
However, the idea of having or having the brain of not solving the problems of maths in not
real (Sanchal & Sharma, 2017). Everyone can understand maths, and it just needs practice.
Mathematics can be used to a large variety of careers that consist of chemistry, accounting,
technology and many more and this is why it is the mother of all subjects as all subjects are
deduced from mathematics.
Therefore, it can be said that everyone must solve mathematics and solving problems
of mathematics has no age barriers. Every student must take mathematics seriously as every
subject is deduced from this subject and it will be an essential subject until humanity ends on
this very planet.
