Language learning has enhanced more comprehensive relations to Mathematical concept
learning in many ways, for example, children below the age of eight learn by the number
symbols where they need to know the number names and count sequence and be able to
compare two numbers between one and twenty presented as written numerically. Sometimes
between the age of two and five, a child leans to name the numerical from zero to ten. Besides,
through the number symbols skills, young children can learn how to say the number of each
numerical and to associate numeral with groups as well as matching things in one to one
correspondence and match groups of ideas one to one (Charlesworth, 2015). Lastly, it enables
children to identify and describe shapes as well as to compare and compose shapes. The
language approach to instruction as also increased the conceptual vocabulary of young children
in many ways. It equips them with a better way of understanding numbers like the idea of
twoness, Threeness, and so forth and also to be able to examine and construct groups using
different objects. Children later build concepts related to the properties of artifacts and
materials by engaging in a variety of experiments equipping them to observe the properties of
objects. Therefore, learning a language is directly related to leaning Mathematics concepts.
Mathematics concepts are majorly written in Mathematics, and thus, language understanding
becomes a vital part of knowledge and improving the idea of Mathematics. Mathematics books
use simple language that can be understood by anyone interested in learning Mathematics.
