Statement of Purpose: MBA Application - Career and Goals Essay

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The business field requires adequate knowledge and experts to manage the growing
population needs. Since, I was young I always wanted to become a successful business man who
would create opportunities for others. Although, I performed well and was able to secure myself
a place in the University to take a course in Engineering I still feel the need to take a Master’s in
Business Administration Degree to actualize my youth dreams.
As for my career experience, I started my internship in different organizations among
them, Verify Information System where I worked as an Institute Management System analyst
tasked with the responsibility of verifying market analytics. During the internship I gained a
good understanding of the operating system, windows, cloud computing, and team management.
Over the later years, I have worked as a general manager at Akurathi Constructions. It’s a real
estate firm that is based in AndhraPradesh India. Iam currently, task with the following
responsibilities: assigning different responsibilities to employees and monitoring them, analyzing
the work in progress with the site Engineers and discussing with them to see if the work is done
as agreed, and managing the finances of these projects.
In my years as a student in the faculty of science and technology I was an active and
committed learner among a group of others who sought to address the problems that faced the
business world which had a large impact to the economy. In my research I found that many
businesses failed due to poor management and lack of research prior to venturing in those
businesses. These findings are relevant and the government and the community should embrace
them to ensure that people are successful in their day to day activities. This reduces loss and
creates employment opportunities to our youths who make the largest composition in our
population.

This master’s degree will give me the knowledge and expertise to serve my community
better by helping them embrace businesses and how to manage their finances in a better way.
Additionally, the degree will help in executing many ideas that have come my way in easier and
cheaper ways and which have previous failed in the past. I will thus, be in a position to select
projects that can be accomplished and result in positive impact to me, my community and the
world at large. Iam confident also that this education will grow me career wise as an economist
and help me thereafter to be able to monitor and supervise others in the field.
