Response to Part 1: Short-term goals
My short-term goal is to be a part of strategy team. My focus will be directed towards
developing the skills of data extraction, communication skills for the purpose of
communicating the deduced data, analytical skills for the analysis of extracted data and
implementation skills for allocating results in the gaps of the process. Coordination skills will
contribute towards aligning the extracted result with the existing department, policies and
existing organizational structure of the business. My goal is also to develop interpretation
skills and the ability of thinking out of the box for assessing all the potential alternatives and
arriving at an efficient result. I can utilize by existing skills of working in excel and problem
solving skills from the experience in banking industry.
The executive MBA program at WBS University will allow me to develop the
desirable skills due to the effective integrative combination. The opportunity of learning
topics like marketing management, operations management, financial and accounting
management and strategic advantage with the association of my desired elective Strategy will
contribute majorly towards my goal through conceptual knowledge and practical experiences.
The theoretical knowledge will develop my understanding about data analysis and problem
solving stages. The practical knowledge regarding strategic concepts will be developed
through a well-structured consultancy project which allows solving real life scenarios for
businesses in London.
Response to Part 2: Long-term goals
My long-term goal is to lead a strategy team. For accomplishing my goal I will have to direct
my concentration on the skills like leadership skills, understanding consumer/user behaviour,
strategic planning skills and performance management capabilities. My goal is to develop the
skills of risk management and team coordination skills. I can utilize my prior working
experience to address the need of risk management and HRM skills.

2CAREER GOALS
The executive MBA program in WBS University will help me in developing my
desirable skills for a strategic team leader by the provision of choosing elective modules. I
will be choosing Strategic Leadership Specialism and entrepreneurship for adding values to
my core strategy management value and imparting the knowledge to my team members. The
consultancy project will present an idea of managing a strategy team, which I will learn from
my leader in the project. The University also engages in the conduction of events test my
acquired knowledge and will offer the provision of understanding strategic decision making
situations from business leaders.
