The course provided me with a broader understanding of business and the manner in which

business is developed through the delineation of the different processes that are designed by the
entrepreneurs. A lucid concept of business undertakings helped me in relating the role of the
different departments while achieving the common objective of ventures. The major objective of a
business is based on retaining the brand name and reputation in a market (Weske, 2012). I believe
that the different operations that are undertaken by the businesses aims at maintaining eth
efficiency of the operations while developing the brand image of the same.
I chose the advanced learning course of business administration, as I believed that I had a
better understanding of the business environment. However, during the course I faced several
issues relating to managerial decision making lessons which contradicted with my mentality. The
course provided me with a detailed view of the different processes in an organization from its
inception to risk management. On the other hand, I chose the course simply because my father had
a small business workshop, which I dreamt of expanding since my childhood. I believed the course
would help me in identifying the different steps that might be undertaken by an individual while
managing the processes of a business enterprise. I watched my father, since my early childhood, as
he worked for his business along with all recordkeeping and analyzing activities. Naturally, I

business management, which led me to the course of knowing the overall process of a business
administration.
The course is designed in an extensive manner, which incorporated every aspect related to
business administration. Topics include communication, leadership, marketing, financial

undertaken by the different departments. I will take steps to relate the different topics with my early
life experiences, which will help me in identifying the different elements that will be discussed in
the course. The different topics on management of organizations, introduced during the course,
helped me in identifying the managerial needs of a venture. Relating the activities and assessing
my capabilities will help me in understanding the different elements of the study and thereby
implement the same in the real life situation of my father’s business. On the other hand, I might
have several doubts, which I will clarify from my assessors. Clarification of the doubts will help
me in supporting my understanding of the different lessons that will be taught during the course.
Laguador (2013) stated that self assessment and reflection on the activities helps in identifying the
future course of actions. Therefore, I believe that clarifying from the lecturer and the reflections
would help me in ensuring the required outcomes of the course are met.
On the other hand, I will undertake discussions and debates with my peers on the topics,
which will help me in enhancing my knowledge of the context, and provide with better
understanding of the course materials. The different challenges that I might face during the course
will be clarified through the assistance of my peers and lecturers. Weske (2012) noted that shared
learning helps in enhancing the outcome of the study. Therefore, I will take steps to facilitate the
shared learning attributes, which will help me in identifying the course content more efficiently. I
will monitor the progress of the study through constant assessment of the different chapters and
