This document represents an ethical approval request for an MBA dissertation focusing on the transformation of business models in the airline industry and its effects on the international environment, including networks, tourism, and the social environment, such as communities and employees. The study aims to analyze business models used in the transformation of airlines, understand the drivers for transformation, compare different competitive models, and assess the effects on tourism, communities, and employees. The research employs a qualitative approach, collecting primary data through semi-structured interviews with aviation business development heads from five airlines, using purposive sampling. Ethical considerations, including consent, confidentiality, and data protection, are addressed, ensuring compliance with the University of Derby's Code of Practice on Research Ethics. The research seeks to provide insights into the effectiveness of various business models and their impact on organizational performance.
