Introduction:
I am Peter from London, UK. I have done my graduation in the business management
and accountancy subjects. I am working on part time contract as a financial executive in the
financial company. I perform my job duties only in the weekends that is only on Saturday and
Sunday. The remaining days I am free to do anything I like to do. In order to make productive
use of my free time, I have decided to join OBC college in order to take a degree of Master's of
business administration in finance field. I have heard from my friends that the OBC college
provides quality education as well as excellent placement opportunities to its business students.
After collecting some more information, I have decided to apply for the admission into this
university and after some days, I came to know that I was shortlisted for the interview round in
OBC college. The day has come for my interview round in the college. The moment I entered in
the college I was surprised to see beautiful campus of the college surrounded by eye catching
buildings and plants. In addition to this, the parking lot was also very large and free of cost. I
have participated in the interview round with confidence and got selected for doing study in the
OBC university. After two days, I got an email from college which described about the date of
induction program as well as commencement of class. I have decided to continue my studies
because I want to achieve higher job positions in the corporate world. In relation to this, I am
also excited to learn new skills in order to develop myself academically. So, I am very happy to
continue my studies after a gap of 1 year.

Describing about my experience during the first 5 weeks:
Week 1:
On my first day, I was pretty nervous when I started introducing myself to my lecturers
and class students. My professor was very interactive with his students which supported me to
engage with him in friendly manner (Aliu and Aigbavboa, 2019). The first lecture was easy to
understand as well as very immersive. After attending lecture for one week, I found that I learn
in the best manner by seeing and observing things such as pictures and diagrams.
Week 2:
On week 2, I have learned about how can I improve my communication skills by taking
into consideration the 7C's necessary for effective communication such as clarity, correctness,
conciseness, courtesy, concreteness, consideration as well as completeness. In addition to this, I
also recognised that I have to improve myself in writing notes by learning how to write with key
information (Schmerse and Zitzmann, 2021).
Week 3:
On week 3, I learned about different reading skills such as skimming, scanning, speed
reading and other methods. This has supported me to acquire suitable reading skills which can
allow me to read larger business reports in most effective manner. In addition to this, it can also
improve my ability to read business newspaper in the fastest manner.
Week 4:
I have improved a lot as compared to my first week in the OBC college. My
communication skills is getting better as the result of my higher interactions with lecturer as well
as my college classmates. In relation to this, I have also realised that effective reading and
writing skills can assist me in improving my academic skills.
Week 5:
By analysing my journey through Driscoll model of reflection, I have gained important
experience which can support me to achieve greater heights in my future professional career. In
relation to this, I was able to improve my communication skills which can support me to take
higher positions in my future professional career. Moreover, the speaking and writing skills can
also make me good reader and writer (Aliu and Aigbavboa, 2021).

Future challenges which I can face in future:
There are future challenges through which I have to move in the best of my abilities. The
examination will soon be taken by the OCB college in the difficult subjects such as economics,
mathematics, business management as well as accountancy. Scoring high in these subjects can
become a challenging problem for me as I have to practise a lot in order to give best performance
(Aubakirova and Zeinullina, 2019). The other challenge which I may face in future is proper
time management. In order to better manage my time, I have to give more priorities on the things
that are important as well as urgent for me. Moreover, I can also face stressful situations in my
college life that can negatively impact my performance in studies and other curriculum activities.
Apart from this, I can also face a problem while giving presentation to my lecturers as I am not
good at giving presentation in-front of the large public gatherings. This can make me nervous in
the time of giving presentations. In order to improve it, I have to give my best when it comes to
improving any kind of skills. By giving more attention to critical activities, I am positive that I
can attain my academic goals in the effective manner.

The OBC university expect its students to strive towards developing new skills in the
continuos manner. This institution also expect its students to take new challenges and do that in
the most best manner. While studying in this university, I came to know that in order to open
new doors of success it is indispensable to learn new piece of information in the committed
manner. I also experienced that the college demands its students to give their best in every field
even when the conditions are unfavourable(Morris and et.al., 2017). This makes the university
difference from other universities. Moreover, I have also benefited a lot from this approach of
university as it helped me to improve my skills related to communication skills, reading skills,
writing skills and presentation skills. These skills can help in holding future professional
positions in the most appropriate manner. Furthermore, this can also allow me to improve my
time management skills are paying more attention in completing most critical skills. I have also
made improvements in the my communication skills which will assist me in making good
relations with m professors as well as my college classmates.
