Reflective Essay
Master of Business Administration is a course that is done by an individual will provide for
benefits beyond their belief. Goals and objectives have to be set by an individual during the
course if they want to achieve the full advantage of doing MBA. Also, this needs to be done
properly so that the outcomes of this course would be beneficial. Interest must be developed
in this area so that the MBA can be done with keen awareness so that the implications of
business taught in this course can be used later on.
I would define business as the exchange of goods and services that will bring organisation
profits. A business can be private or public operating for which the main intention is to make
profits. But not all organisations are made for achieving profits some of them are for the
betterment of society. The business environment is the external factors which affect the
business and the business may be dependent on these factors. This is one of the most
important factors or business because these external factors consist of changes that occur in
the environment. I choose this course to get a better understanding of the business
environment and also because I want to begin a start-up of my own. Masters of Business
Administration would help me in achieving better job opportunities across the globe. Also,
another benefit would be that by doing this course I would be expecting to get a higher salary
than before. Talking about getting a higher salary would lead to better job security than
before. My knowledge and skills would increase in such an amount that I would be able to
understand the business world a lot more than I did before. The interest in studying business
can be because I wanted to start my own business. I was motivated by various business role
models that I followed throughout my academic career which motivated me to make my own
start-up. Also, Masters in Business Administration provides me with various strategies in
different departments that would help me in the business that I would want to do. MBA is a
course in which specialises in teaching how to manage a business properly which would
benefit me greatly because my management skills would be taken to new heights. I would
recommend that every person should do this course once in their lifetime if they want to start
a business (Studyportals, 2018). My interest in the course has been the main reason that I am
prepared for it. I am keen to learn about the different strategies that one can use to manage
the business and any risks associated with that business. Also what I want to learn is how to
become a good leader and run a team as a single unit. All of this can be done by doing this
course.

To ensure that the MBA course outcomes are met I would have to see certain factors are
learned by me. Like I would learn how to solve issues in different areas like marketing,
finance etc. and communicate with people efficiently. I should be able to motivate people
with my leadership skills. Also, I would be able to use various strategies and methods that
would help in the business environment. Managing and monitoring my studies was the most
important part that I had to do because by doing this I could find out how much was gained
by conducting this course. The first thing I did was keep a journal and made a track record of
what was done each day and learned each day. I also made everyday goals that when
accomplished gave me a sense of motivation that I was benefiting from doing this course.
Also, I kept a calendar in which I marked important dates so I could understand how much
time was taken to learn a subject. By doing an MBA, it would help in developing managerial
skills that would benefit me in getting a job in any company that I want. Applying new trends
that are present in the world would be easy for me. As an MBA student, I would be getting
access to a greater network of people. In the university, I would get an opportunity to
communicate with the faculty and outside of the university, I would get interactions with
businessmen. The best thing that would happen to be after completing MBA would be that I
could start my own business from scratch. While doing this goal there are certain goals and
objectives that I would like to achieve. My main goal would be to understanding core finance
and international businesses courses so that they would help me in the future. New skills and
knowledge would be developed by accomplishing this goal. My decision making talent
would increase from conducting this course. I would be able to make a critical decision for
the organisation that I want to work for. My communications skills would also be enhanced
as the course would teach me how to represent myself in a manner that is presentable to the
business. My last goal would be that this course helps me in getting the job that I want (Poets
& Quants, 2018).
It was seen that by doing an MBA an individual can achieve numerous amount of things.
During the Masters of Business Administration, the knowledge and skills gained would help
in the future life of a person. This course helps in creating more job opportunities that were
not present before. Also, it was seen that when a person does this course of MBA they
receive a higher salary and more respect is given to them in the business environment. In
conclusion, when an MBA course is completed new experience is gained through which a
person can apply for jobs that were once out of their reach.
