Businesses need to conduct business research since it helps recognize challenges, and guides in

business research provides the executives with knowledge based on sales, markets, organization,
and economy which ensures they acquire intelligence needed in decision-making (Saunders,
Lewis & Thornhill, 2012 pp.10). There exist various steps which should be followed to conduct
and useful business research which vary due to various types of research which prevails.
Examples of business research are applied, basic, and pseudo.
Business research relates to workplace since it facilitates effective communication which
is essential in business for productivity and smooth operations (DePoy & Gitlin, 2015 pp.20).
Therefore, business research shows that workplace communication leads to improvement of
business performance. Besides, communications enhanced through business research in a
workplace increases employees job satisfaction and motivation (Sekaran & Bougie, 2016 pp.11).
Example of research which leads to increased job satisfaction is the departmental assessment
since it entails comprehending the processes and purposes of a department.
Research may aid personal and professional development through various ways. Based
on my personal development, it helps in recognizing the strengths and weaknesses, habits,
droves, habits, and personalities. In simple words, it allows individuals engage in self-reflection
which facilitates self-awareness which is vital to increase the individual growth (Bryman & Bell,
