1. How do your academic achievements and future goals demonstrate you are a suitable
candidate for this award?
I want to apply for the post-graduation scholarship application which award coverage
tuition fees for the level of MBA (Master of Business Administration). My education and
qualification have reflected that I am a suitable candidate for this award. I have completed my
BA Honours Degree from University of West London (UWL) with award grade of 2:2. For
MBA a student needs to complete their bachelor course so, this education qualification has
reflected that I am one of the suitable candidates for this award. This time I have got academic
knowledge about different sectors such as Hospitability, Tourism, Customer Service, The
Professional Business Researcher, Events, Museums, Heritage, Cultural, Food and Beverage
Management. Therefore, this knowledge will be helpful at the time of completing MBA.
Along with this, in year 1993-1995 I had done my BTEC Higher National Diploma
Travel and Tourism Management with A grade from Westminster College – London. This time I
have got knowledge about Customer Service Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance,
Human Resource, Travel Operation, Tour Operator, Museums, Heritage, Cultural and Tourism
Management. Therefore, this qualification has also increased my level of knowledge towards the
business management.
Including this, in year 1990-1993 I had given some specific levels of examinations form
Lycée Saint Thérese - Abidjan and these examinations are known as Baccalaureate. I have
obtained lots of learnings in different subjects such as French (A), Maths (B), Chemistry (A), IT
(B), Geography (A) History (B) and English (A). My grades have reflected that I have strong
academic knowledge of French, geography and English and for completing MBA I must have
suitable acquaintance in terms of French and English. So, it will help in completing this course in
effective manner.
My academic qualification has included a different course of 5 GCSEs which had done
by me in year 1986-1990 from Lycée Moderne – Gagnoa. In this course I have got academic
information about French, English, Maths, Geography and Science. Overall, these knowledge
and information has increased my suitability for the course of MBA as well as scholarship
award.
My future goals is getting a rewarding position within a customer service operation
where I can apply my skills, knowledge and capabilities which have gained at the time of

education and working experience. I want to grow my career in customer service operation
which is one of the major part of MBA so, my future goal is also demonstrating that I am
suitable candidate for this award because I can use this award for completing my MBA and
achieving my future goals as soon as possible. Along with this, after completing my bachelors I
want to complete my masters in coming one year for my career growth and development. So, this
future goal also increase my suitability for scholar ship award.
Overall, my knowledge and skills are appropriate for MBA as well as for completing my
future goal I need to complete my master’s in business administration. Evaluation of my
academic qualification and future goal have reflected that I am capable enough to get the scholar
ship award of tuition fee from MBA program.
2. Describe your most meaningful non-academic achievement and how it has influenced your
development?
As per the above discussion my academic achievements and qualifications have increased
my suitability for getting scholarship. But, there are some non-academic achievements also
which have influenced my development. Such as in year 1995-1997 I have joined Clarendon
Hotel – London as a Hotel Assistant Manager. At this time my major role and responsibility
were associated with the customers. Along with this, I needed to implement marketing strategies
for increasing customer growth for the organization. Including this, I needed to make effective
communication with sales, marketing and administrative teams on daily basis. I was responsible
for handling high volume of paperwork and maintenance of invoice and expenses. Therefore, in
this two year experience my learnings and skills have increased in various aspects. This
achievement has helped in improved my skills and knowledge in terms of handling customers
and marketing of products and services of the company. Further, I have got experience in
handling paperwork, administration and other expenses of the company. That knowledge and
experience have helped me in developing my carrier also.
Afterwards, I have got experience of interpreting English and French from Refugee Legal
Centre – London. That experience has helped me in improving my communication skills for
interpreting / Translation English to French language. At the time of developing career in
customer service operation a person need to have strong communication skills. Strong
communication skill has helped me in getting better opportunity in my career.

Afterwards I have started to do job at Tropic Travel – London as a Business Travel
Manager. At that time I have got different responsibilities such as increasing motivation level
employees, cross training, etc. along with this, I needed to search and solve customer’s enquiries
and complains in an appropriate manner. Overall, experience as a business travel manager has
increased my motivational skills which has helped me in completing my roles in effective
manner. This achievement has increased my skills for managing customers and resolving their
complaints.
Subsequently, I have joined Carlton Restaurant & Wine Bar – London as a general
manager. I have worked with this organization from Nov 02 – Sep 15. I have learned a lot from
this organization and job position which have helped me in my growth and development. My
training, coaching and mentoring skills have been developed by this job position which have
helped me in providing best customers services. Along with this, I have gown knowledge about
the importance of high standard of food and beverages service in increasing financial results of
company. Overall, this non-academic achievement has increased my management skills which
influenced me to complete my master’s in business administration. Overall, each and every
achievement has increased my knowledge and skills in terms of handling customers and staff
members which will contribute in attaining my future goals also.
3. From a financial standpoint what impact these scholarships have on your education?
Scholarship can be defined as an instrument of encouragement towards education for
students. The current scholarship award will cover all my tuition fee for MBA so, it will help in
completing my higher education without any dependency on student loan. Along with this, it will
reduce the financial burden of fee amount which will reduce the level of stress and that will help
in improving performance as well. Further, this scholarship will bring me a fame, goodwill in
public and also helps in getting tax benefits from the government. So, it will improve my
financial stability also. After getting this scholarship there is a compulsion that I needs to
continue to avail fellowship based on my performance in previous semester. Therefore, it will
improve my academic performance as well.
After achieving this scholarship award there is no need to work on part time basis for
getting extra money because this scholarship will give me a handsome amount. Therefore,
scholarship award will be a great incentive for completing MBA and strongly motivated me to
do well in my A level grades. I will provide financial support throughout my course duration

which will enable me to settle intro the lifestyle of university more easily. Scholarship amount
will have given access to higher education for me at any kind of financial position. After getting
this award there is not needs to do any kind of \job along with my studies and I can concentrate
on my studies only. It will also decrease the number and amount of loan which will need to take
by me to complete my MBA. Therefore, in financial aspect this scholarship award will help in
getting funds for financing my higher education which will help me in achieving more awards in
academic front.
Assistance of this scholarship will provide appropriate support in filling the gap between
low and high income levels. I can get admission in that college also in which I want to complete
my studies. Including this, I belong to a middle class family where I cannot get financial support
to my parents. Along with this, I don’t have enough savings which I can invest for my higher
studies. So, this scholar ship is very essential for me. It will help in getting strong financial
position for completing studies. Including this, I known that cost of college living is high as
compare to general so, I will use my savings in maintaining my college living cost so, this
scholarship amount will support me in paying my college fee. Overall, in financial standpoint
this award will have positive impact on my education and provide a strong support to complete
my business educations which will help in attaining my future goals. Along with this it will
support me in growth and development of my own career. As per my self-evaluation I am one of
the most suitable candidate to get the award of this scholarship by which I can get best
