Assessment 1
1. How do you define business?
In my opinion, business is exchanging services and products from one another for making
money. The word business is generates from word “Busy” which means doings things. Business
requires some investment and customers whom the products or goods can be sold and make
profit. Different elements and forces are works on the business which is considered as the
business environment. According to my knowledge, business is an art and science as well and it
is dealing with goods and services for increase return of investment.
Business helps to make self-identity and independent ownership of an individual. The most
important characteristic of business is management. The characteristics of successful business:
 Development of skills
 Helps to being great marketer
 Clear vision for goals is very important for successful business
 Set short term goals for targets
 Prepared financially for investment.

2. Why did you choose this course?
Master of Business Administration is a post graduate degree which gives the students who have
mastered in study of business. I chose MBA because it helps to improve management skills and
provide knowledge about how we can start our own business. When I graduate with MBA degree
from reputed college then there are many better opportunities are waiting for me in future.
In the words of Reddy (2019), the advantages of choosing MBA are:
 It provides knowledge about business which gives new ideas to establish the business.
 If I want to do job, the organizations pay very well.
 It helps to increase management skills.
 Many career opportunities are open for me after MBA.
 MBA is very successful course because it provides wider scopes and it is never go out of
fashion.

3. What kind of past experience (or interest) do you have in this area?
Initially I am interested in the management which supports to run business activities smoothly in
the big sized organization and chain of business. I am interested in doing MBA because it gives
knowledge about business strategies and I want to start my own business in future so it helps me
to achieve my goal. But successful career cannot be developed from MBA only, the new
knowledge, continue learning, management skills are also important in business. For early career
change, MBA is a great choice for every student. This program is specially design for
development of management skills so; I am very interested in this course.

4. How has your experience (academic, work, etc.) prepared you for this course?
My personal interested different types of management have motivated me to enroll me in this
course. My key motivation is for enrolling in this course is the challenges which generally faced
by the management. I want to know about the management practices, theories and approaches
which help to manage a successful business. An effective management is the root cause of the
successful business (Willamette. 2019).

5. How do you ensure the required outcomes of your course are met?
In my opinion, the outcome of this course is met because the MBA is suitable to my personality.
This course will provide a wide area for my professional growth. Now, MBAs professionals
working in every field like technology, consumer goods, health care, and many other industries. I
experienced in several areas during my course which helps me in my future. The result of the
course is up to mark. Development of understanding is the core factor to ensure the outcomes are
met and another thing is my career growth which helps me in ensuring it.

6. What can you do to manage and monitor your studies to a successful conclusion?
Management and monitoring are the significant task during the studies and education for
managing the study and as well as the crux of its. I manage and monitor my studies by planning
which I start from the first day of course. I prepared a calendar plan in which I specified my
study plan. It includes the assignment with their due dates. I also monitor my other activity plan
in which I give priority to the assignments, join the study groups and connect with the
professional mentors who always guide me in every step. I always flexible towards my study and
never hold any task for due dates. Proper time management and monitoring past work helps to
get better outcomes (Houldsworth, 2016).

7. As you think about the future, how might you apply your studies in later life?
This course helps me to become a better professional individual having good communication
skill. It helps me to get expertise in problem-solving. It is a management degree course which is
the basic requirement to get the job in the MNC’s. MBA develops various management skills in
an individual. I got access to a part of a large business connection. In the future, I can start a
business from scratch because I have sufficient skills to manage each aspect which may I face in
the future. It will provide a great opportunity as a CEO of my company but it also has a risk
factor but I give to ensure that this will count as an experience by which I learn and implement in
my next task in future. Grip of the management approaches and theories will help me in the
future for resolving issues and implementation of planning.

8. What kind of goals would you like to set for yourself with regards to this course?
After completing this course I consider my aim as an Entrepreneur of small business. I will try to
expand my business in the domestic and then in the international market. Being an entrepreneur I
want to bring new ideas which has never implemented before. During my job I would like to take
experience first and then I go for the implementation and avoid those conflicts which may arise
in between my goal. Entrepreneur’s objective is not only to earn money, but their aim is to build
a new business in the market which enhances my personal wealth (Nguyen, 2019).
