Essay 1: The Most Exciting Thing about Intended Field of Study
The most exciting thing about an MBA program is the development of the priceless
management skills (Prince, Burns & Manolis, 2014). Pursuing an MBA degree with its
connected specializations helps in teaching a lot of things. It helps the students in learning how
to advertise, manufacture and sell products, keep the finances of the company healthy, maintain
the positive image of the company, interpret and gather industry data, hire right people and
motivate them, creation of hierarchies thereby helping the company to thrive and at the same
time make tougher call at right time. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) will also enable
me in getting out of comfort zone and encounter the trends of the latest International Business
and apply newest techniques of management thereby challenging myself.
Pursuing this field of study will also enable me in getting free access to the larger
network of business (Epstein et al., 2013). As an MBA student, I will have greater opportunities
of networking and will also get to interact with business people with greater management
experience. This particular context will help me in accentuating the capabilities of business
management. I will be able to gain access to extensive alumni network of the particular course
that I pursue. The connections formed will provide me with a greater overview of business
world. My knowledge will also help me in having a deeper understanding of slightest changes
within business environment. I will also be able to not only reflect on the bigger issues but also
make connections between the various world affairs and global events.
My intended field of study also opens the door for various career opportunities
(Zimmermann et al., 2014). As an MBA graduate I will be able to easily hold a higher position in
the management. I have found that closer to 50 percent of the MBA graduates across the world
hold represents the board of directors of the company. This will not only bring in higher salary

business and become a successful entrepreneur. It will also help me plan and build the career

Essay 2: Professional Goals after Graduation and How Degree from Santa Clara Helps in
Achieving such Aspirations.
In a five years time after graduation, I would like to see myself as a successful manager
who has also gathered enough experience to manage a particular department. I also look forward
to the being a part of the board of directors. I even look forward to working with the legal and
the procurement team on the development of the streamlined process that acts as the natural fit
for my business administration background. As a short term goal, I would like to focus on my
writing skills and help various brands in becoming the world class publishers.
Some of my futuristic goals involves in leading the finance department which will help
me in developing enough skills for starting my own business. Thus, in a matter of 10 years from
now I would like to start my own business as it will be help me in achieving freedom and
satisfaction but also flexibility and recognition. Although a business involves lots of
responsibility but it involves security and benefits (Ward, 2016).
Santa Clara is unique as it provides more than degree and helps in transforming the
manner in which one sees the world and his or her place in it (scu.edu, 2019). Grounded in the
social justice and ethics, it empowers the students in finding solutions to the global problems and
thereby influence change within their community. Students are able to take classes from the
professors who are not only dedicated to their teaching but also remain dedicated towards
scholarship and research. It helps the students in learning from experiences gained through the

internships, community based coursework, independent research and internships while being
immersed in energy, innovation and opportunity. Thus, a Masters of Business Administration
(MBA) from Santa Clara will help me in gaining practical experience in addition to theory.
Having classmates who already have a work experience will act as an added advantage for me.
Students like me also have a chance to get daily updates on various processes from the
classmates having a working experience. The degree course will also help me in gaining enough
skills and knowledge that would help me later in career. Besides, a degree course from Santa
Clara has recognition in itself and is the best program that the students can pursue. The part time
MBA program of Santa Clara is also well known thereby allowing innumerable working students
in gaining a degree.

Contribution to School and/or Business Profession
My attributes that helps in making a distinctive contribution to the business includes my
confidence, selling/marketing, communication, leadership qualities, responsibility, negotiation

Confidence is one of the key characteristics that I possess that helps me in conquering
and fighting the doubts in business without worrying about it (Parhankangas & Ehrlich, 2014).
This is because businesses are uncertain and there are always some plans that will not work. In
such scenario my positivity and confidence will prevent the team from getting effected by any
kind of adversity. My marketing/selling skills will help in building the brand thereby enhancing
the sales of the product or service (Adegbola, 2014). I also possess communication skills that

better handling of the business matters outside office. My leadership skills will help me in

the goals. Besides, these skills will also help me in creation of a target, drawing a path and

initiator that will help in controlling or directing a situation and remain alert (Parker, Wang &
Liao, 2019). This helps in reducing the problems that arises in the business. It is seen that a well
calculated initiative is quite effective and becomes a major factor in contributing to the success.
In addition, I also possess negotiation skills that help in settling the differences in business
(Nielson & Border, 2016). It is often found that good negotiators are easily able to manage any
given situation in the business and create a win-win situation.
