There are certain steps that are to be taken for proper development of leadership qualities.
The major step that is to be taken in the process includes maintaining discipline in the workplace.
For being a good leader, imbibing this quality ion both personal and professional life will be
acting as a key in the process. Ability to lead a group of member is often judged as per the
discipline one possess in their daily life. Displaying discipline in work place is one of the most
important factor that is to be practiced (Antonakis and Day 2017). Another major practice that is
to be performed is that the number of projects that is to be undertaken must be high. This section
ensures that diversity of experience will be increasing. This increase in diversity of experience
will be helping in leading a team in a better manner and will be helping in taking on different
types of projects. This practice of taking up new projects is considered to be important. Stepping
out of the comfort zone for performing these projects acts important. Another characteristic that
will be acting important in continuing in developing leadership is that a leader needs to learn to
follow. It is obvious that it is not possible for any single human to know the entire working
process or know it all (Western 2019). Hence following people who have been working under
ones leadership and learning the job is to be cultivated. This will ensure that there is a continual
development of leadership. Developing situational awareness is also considered to be important.
This section also ensures the fact that better assessment of the bigger picture will be made. This
is considered as an important trait that a leader must possess. However, this skill is developed
gradually with experience. Another character that is to be continually developed is that a leader
needs to keep on learning and keep oneself updated (Grint et al 2019). This keeping oneself
updated helps in proper management of the business process. This is the main reason that proper

assessment of projects can be performed and new projects can be managed in an efficient
manner. These are the leadership skills that are needed to be developed in a continuous manner.
The 3 key actions that are needed to be taken for proper bettering the leadership skills are as
follows: -
Effective communication: Effective communication is one of the major aspect and skill
that is needed to be bettered. The main reason behind cultivating this skill is that with
proper communication and better bind in a team can be created. This will also be helping
in proper assessment of transaction of important information among the team members.
Empathy for the team members is another important soft skill that is to be considered.
With this process, the genuine issues that are present in the working process can be
spotted and hence wise there will be an ease in cooperating with the team.
Relation building is another skill that is to be developed.

Leadership style
The leadership style that I possess is democratic leadership. I have always been a person
who have been focusing on including individuals and team members for success of the projects.
There are certain things I believe in. They are namely encouraging creativity with proper
rewards. I also believe in taking advice from the team members. Hence the team members are
encouraged to give their ideas. Maintaining a proper morale while providing proper production
have been one of the major aim. I feel providing the employees to participate in the working
process have been one of the major aspect that I feel is important. This have been one of the
major aspect that is to be considered for increasing the bond in between the employees of

major reason behind this is that employee motivation is highly dependent on the communication
in between them. I believe in maintaining transparency ion work place as maintaining

can be performed. I also believe in the fact that the assessment that is to be considered is

operational process. One of the major characteristic that I possess is that I am a strategic thinker.

short term goals act to be an important factor for me, the long term goal always stays in the back
of my mind and this helps in better performing of the tasks. With the help of strategic thinking,
proper decision making can be made. This decision making having ensuring the fact that better
management of the projects that are being undertaken. I have also developed proper
communication skill. This enhanced communication skill might be helping in better management
of the employees who will be working under me. I believe in upholding of the high business
standard. This section ensures the fact that the project that will be provided will be completed in
a proper manner. Another aspect that can be considered as a strength in my leadership style is
that I prefer to maintain diversity in the team. This ensures that the team is pro-active in
providing proper innovative and diverse ideas.
The organization factors that will be ensuring that I become an efficient leader includes
leaving in the entire operational process on to me and provide me with freedom that will help in

perform my duties in a better manner. Thus, it can be stated that with a set of professional
standard being provided by the organization, it would be easier for me to perform my duties.
