1LEADERSHIP
Leadership style explains the approach or method implementing plans, of providing
direction, and efficiently motivating people for completing their work. The personal and
skills of a person need to change into behaviour for a person to become an impactful leader.
There exists different type of leadership style, such as; autocratic, transformational,
transactional, entrepreneurial, situational, democratic, bureaucratic, coach style and many
others. However, as a leader I think transformational, autocratic and democratic leadership
styles are the most impactful leadership style among all.
Transformational leadership describes a way of transforming or else improving upon
a particular organization’s conventions. Individuals, working in an organization may have a
certain set of goals or tasks that they have to complete in a given period of time; leader is a
person who constantly pushes them to achieve their personal and organizational goals. Under
this leadership style, the leaders inspire, encourage as well as motivate the employees for
being innovate and creating changes which will collect higher success for the company. In
contrast to this, I think that the autocratic leadership allows only one person to take all the
decisions and mostly efficient for the leaders associated with taking business decisions. It is
only effective in the organisations in which the work culture needs quick decision-making.
Taking decision and its impact of the decision is the sole responsibility of the leader. As a
leader I think that this style is outdated now and organizations are looking forward to the
democratic leadership style, where leader allows its follower to take part in the decision
making process. I feel that under this style, every member is given an equal chance of
participating in different business activities.

employees can highly affect the way how efficiently the business leaders perform and
encourage their followers. Mainly, the internal organizational environment, its values, legacy
along with the activities of past leaders affect the working style of the leaders. In additions to
that, the leaders also have to dependent on several organizational resources, for example
technology, staff, finances as well as other such physical resources for achieving their goals.
Another vital factor is the organizational culture. The workplace culture can be said as a
combination of its current and past leaders, founders, history as well as crises and values.
Sometimes, complicated organizational culture also affect the leadership style and the leaders
might have to change their behavioural traits and leadership styles to avoid any internal
conflict. Business leaders will not able to achieve their goals without proper organizational
support. Support from the followers or employees, higher level authorities and managers is
essential for the leaders to successfully uphold their leadership style. Higher organizational
conflict, lack of proper communication in the workplace, insufficient organizational
resources, lack of successful information flow within the team and organization are some
vital factors that hinders the activity of a successful leader.
