The report deal with sustainability related with the Timberwell construction. The company
that focusses upon the development of the residential areas. The construction is also related
with certain impact on the ecological community. The flora and the fauna is destroyed when
the land is cleared for the construction purpose. The economic, social and environment
sustainability is discussed in the report. All the factors that must be mentioned in the
sustainability report is discussed. However all the improvement that is required by the
Timberwell construction need to be stated in the sustainability report.

Introduction
Timberwell Construction focuses on the development of the residential regions. A
company that builds different types of residential complex and apartments. The work of the
construction company is mainly observed in the district of Stanwell Council. As the company
is based on the development of the residential complex, it faces competition from the market
(Brooks and Rich 2016). To improve the company business and attract more workers, the
company has increased the pay of the workers. The report discusses certain sustainability
parameters to evaluate the sustainability of Timberwell Construction. The report will help the
company in examining the effect of different operation such as the economic, social and
environment. The different sustainability factor is defined based on different relations, which
deal with corruption, financial implications, legal actions, and the energy consumption, the
impact of activities, different environmental laws and different incidents of discrimination.
Economic sustainability is specifically explained concerning changes in climate (Khatib
2016). Environmental sustainability is specifically explained with the help of the energy
consumption pattern, the change in the biodiversity. The social sustainability is defined with
the hiring of the new employee their turnover, the discrimination factor and the different
operation within the organization. The report states the different sustainability factors and the
ways it affects Timberwell construction.
Economic Sustainability
The economic sustainability is discussed with respect to different disclosures. The
report discusses the three different disclosure. The disclosure 201-2 deals with the financial
implication and the other threats due to the change in the climate. The disclosure 205-3 is
related with the confirmed incidents linked with the corruptions. The disclosure 206-1 is
related with the legal actions and its practices.

Financial Implication and its Related Risks
The organization faces different operation changes due to the variation in the climate.
The work of the organization is to report all the changes in the expense, profit, operation and
revenue due to the variation in the climate. The impact of the factors needs to be measured
based on its impact, which can be either direct or indirect (Loss, Piazza and Zandonini 2015).
All the methods and the strategies, which are implemented in the company, need to be
reported. The report must also include the absence of any system in the organization, which
can be used for the collection of the revenues or the execution of different financial methods.
After analysing the Timberwell construction, it can be stated that the company had to pain
fine as the construction led to the destruction of the coastal grassland. It led to the
endangering of the coastal grassland, which is a part of the ecological community (Del Mar
Alonso‐Almeida et al.). At the time of construction, certain land needs to be cleared. The
process led to the destruction of flora and fauna. There must be some methods that must be
used to protect the flora and fauna. There must be involvement of certain strategies that can
help in maintaining and managing the different threats and opportunities (Cuadrado et al.,
2015). The improvement must be related to the energy efficiency and reducing the use of fuel
and emission of harmful carbon energy. The overall advantages must be utilized, and the
risks must be reduced.
Incidents of Corruption and its Solutions
The second disclosure is related with the incidents related to the corruptions and the
actions that is required. The organization need to report all the corruption it faces. The report
of the organization must contain all the legal cases against the company and the cases related
to the employee dismissal (Ozorhon 2013). Timberwell is involved in different official
council projects. The stakeholders of the company should have interest about the incidents

that is happening in the organization. The Timberwell construction is known for causing
corruption in the project of the council. The result of the case is pending and must be
included in the sustainability report. All the ongoing process and termination of different
partnership related to the project must be included in the report provided by the organization.
Legal Actions
The third disclosure explains the legal measures related with the monopoly practices,
anti-competitive behaviour and the antitrust. The disclosure is related with the legal actions,
which are against the company. The result of the all the legal actions, decisions and judgment
of the organization need to be disclosed in the report. The case study states that the
competition in Australia is high and the commission present in Australia assumes that the
Timberwell is involved in different violation acts of monopoly practices and the anti –
competitive behaviour (Ozorhon, Abbott and Aouad 2013). The construction company is
involved in misusing of different market power in order to stop the entry of different
construction company in the district operated by the Timberwell. All the cases that are filed
against the company must be included in the sustainability report.
Environmental Sustainability
The environmental sustainability consists of different disclosures. The disclosure 302-
1 is based on the total consumption of energy by the organization. The energy is related with
both renewable and non-renewable energy 14. The disclosure 304-2 explains the important
activities and its effect on the biodiversity. The disclosure 206-1 deals with the laws and
regulation linked with the environment.
The Consumption of Energy within the Organization
The first disclosure is based on providing a report that contains the total energy
consumption by the organization. The report must clearly define the consumption of

renewable and non-renewable energy. The consumption of the energy must be calculated
carefully and must include all the basic consumption and double counting of the consumption
must be avoided. The report must have clear distinction between the uses of different energy
resources. The consumption must be calculated with the help of the different formulas (Oxley
2015). The Timberwell construction has released a report stating that the organization is
energy efficient and also provides a table linked with the energy consumption. The table
comprises of different tools that the organization use for the calculation of energy
consumption. From the report, provided by the organization it be observed that after
following different environmental program there was reduction in the use of noon-renewable
resources. However, it can be stated that the Timberwell construction follows the different
environmental rules and regulation. The disclosure states that the organization must report the
different methods and approach that helps in conversion of local and generic factor
(Toppinen and Korhonen‐Kurki 2013).
Impact of the Activities
The second disclosure deals with the impact that the organization faces due to its
operation and services. The impact on the bio-diversity. All the direct and the indirect impact
on the biodiversity is stated. The impact due to the pollution. Change in the habitat and in the
ecological process must be explained in the report. The organization must have an idea about
all the impact of the activities performed by the company (Silva et al., 2013). The clearing of
land for construction destroys the flora and fauna and disturbs the ecological balance. The
company must involve different methods and strategies to recover and maintain the flora and
fauna. However all the strategies must be updated in the report provided by the organization.

Environmental Laws and Regulations
The third disclosure deals with the non-compliance of the related rules and regulations
for the company. There must be certain laws, which must be charged when the rules and
regulations are disobeyed. All the monetary sanctions and fines must be stated in the
sustainable report. There must be some activities where there are no rules and regulations.
Such type of cases must be clearly maintained in the sustainability report (Lawson, Ogden
and Goodier 2014). The activities and operations performed by the organizations helps in
predicting different parameters of the organization. However, in some of the incidents
disobeying of laws causes destruction of the environmental liabilities.
Social Sustainability
The sustainability report must include all the key factors that are necessary for the
company. The organization must include different aspects keeping the concern related with
the requirements of the stakeholders, suppliers and investors. The social sustainability need to
be identified, evaluated and need to be managed properly (Lawrence 2015). All the social
impact must be stated in the report. The sustainability includes disclosure 401-1, which deals
with the hiring of new employees and their turnover. The disclosure 406-1 explains the
different incidents of discrimination and the disclosure 413-1 deals with the different
operation of the community.
New Employee Hires and Employee Turnover
This disclosure deals with the data related with the hiring of the new employment by
the organization. The overall rate of the employment turnover is also disclosed in the
sustainability report. The information must be related with the age, religion and gender of the
new employee. The overall calculation of the number of employee hired and the turnover of
the employee helps in the identification of the total number of employee in the organization.

From the Timberwell case study, it is clear that the employees of the organization are not
satisfied. There are large number of employees who are leaving the organization. The reason
is that the employees are not satisfied with the job and the organization. The sustainability
report must include all the recruitment methods that are implemented in the organization. The
reason for stating each details in the report is that it will help in identifying the impact on the
productivity of the organization (Riala and Ilola 2014). The Timberwell construction
sustainability report must contain all the process linked with the employee selection and their
process of hiring.
Different Incidents and Action Taken
This disclosure is related with the different type of discrimination activities within the
organization. All the related actions must be stated in the sustainability report. According to
the guidelines the report must have all the actions taken for the discriminated incidents and
must include the status of all the accidents that must be reviewed and planned. The case study
of the Timberwell construction involves the discrimination between the employees. The case
study stated that one employee was discriminated from the other employee. The employee
were targeted for humiliation within the organization (Rafiei and Adeli 2016). The employee
who faced the humiliation lodged a complaint and the company was asked to upgrade its
policy so that the employee are satisfied with their job. The sustainability report provided by
the organization must include all the plans that will be implemented in the organization in the
future by the management. The management of the company reviews all the plans before the
execution.
Different Operation and Programs
This disclosure deals with the organization involvement in the work of the local
community. The report includes plains related with the development of the locality, different
development programs and the overall study of the consequences. The entire requirement

related with the organization must be monitored properly and must be stated in the report.
The requirement consequences must be stated in the report. The plans and methods, which
are used within the organization for the protection of the vulnerable groups, must be stated
clearly in the sustainability report (Xia et al., 2013). All the tools which are utilized by the
construction company for improving the social and the environmental impact must be stated
clearly in the re[ort. However, the effort made by the Timberwell construction must cobtain
variation that will help in the identification of the different factors of the community.
Conclusion
From the report it can concluded that the overall performance of the Timberwell
construction company is deteriorating with respect to the profit and the turnover of the
employee in the organization (Harris and Chang 2014). The main reason is due to the
disobeying of the different standard mention in the sustainability report. The standard are in
accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative. The in-depth knowledge of the Timberwell
construction case study states that the company was involved in different corruption, anti-
competition behaviour acts that led to the violation of different rules and regulation (Ding and
Forsyth 2013). All the factors that affects the company and have an impact on its working
process must be stated properly in the report with respect to the GRI. However, the
sustainability report must include more details regarding the social, economic and
environmental operations. The Timberwell construction company must implements strict
laws for fulfilling the different requirement mentioned in the sustainability report.
