is a public limited company which have 36900 outlets in more than 100 countries. It has
3750000 high skilled and qualified employees who gives their best contribution to meet
customer demand. It offers various kinds of the products such as chicken products, French fries,
breakfast items, soft drinks, wraps, desserts, cheeseburger etc. It has strong brand image in the
market die to its high quality of commodities. It focuses on the actual customer demand and
serve product accordingly in the market (McDonald and Meldrum, 2013).
In order to survive in the competitive market, cited venture required to analyse its internal
environment. With help of SWOT analysis, company can analyse its internal competency and
weaknesses. In the context of Strength, its major strength is related to high network chain.
McDonald have 36899 restaurants in more than 120 countries thus every customer can easily
reach to its products and services. Another important strength is related to its effective
promotional and advertisement activities (Gonzalez-Padron, Hult and Ferrell 2016). It has its
own website and application by which customer can easily make order for product and services.
It has effective presence on the social media channels so as customer always well aware about
the commodities and its offer prices. It another strength is that company regular recruit new
employees and adopt better way to perform task so as it can achieve its determined objective.
On the other hand in the context of weakness, cited venture have major weakness related
to declining market share and weak product development. It has slow revenue and income
growth due to the low market share (Tsitsipati and Athanasios, 2014). It another major weakness
is related to the unhealthy food image. In the present time, customers are more health concious
so they prefer to take healthy food. McDonald dishes provides large amount of calories but not
too much nutrition.
In the context of opportunities, international expansion and joint ventures with retailer is major
opportunity for McDonald company. In addition to this, it focuses on the corporate social
responsibility and reduce the impact on the environment and community linkages. Its another
opportunity is to respond social changes to the society and produce healthy food for health
concious customers (Avolio and Mhatre, 2012). It can move to healthier fruit snacks in the new
product development.

In the context of threat its major threat is related to the changing demographics. In this manner,
customer life style, education, occupation, age, gender are include. Company have to focus on
the customer's requirement which affected by their demographic factor. In addition to this, high
competition is another threat for McDonald. Cited venture have various competitors by which it
affected in large manner. Fluctuation in the foreign exchange rate is another major threat for
cited venture. (Shi, 2016) Technology is another challenge for company because in every
functional department required technology. Due to regular changing technology, company to
make changes accordingly in the business. Thus, from the entire discussion it has been analysed
that there are various strength, weakness, opportunity ad threat of the McDonald which represent
company internal environment and competency.
CONCLUSION
From this report it has been analysed that McDonald have very strong position in the
market due to its high quality of product and services. Cited venture have main strength is related
to the high network channels as it has various branches in the various country. On the other hand
its major weakness is that it produced unhealthy product so its image has developed for
unhealthy and fatty food product.
