Introduction
Globalisation is considered as the essential aspect that assists in long term development and
businesses must have an understanding of global standards in an accurate manner. Multinational
businesses are impacting the operations of local and small businesses. It is necessary to have
better consideration of such values and make sure that long term development standards can be
promoted. Application of managing successful business activities requires consideration of
planning values. On the basis of formation of work break down structure the organisation can
improve the overall development. It is necessary to understand the operations of multinational
companies so that corrective measures can be taken into account regarding globalisation values.
Application of values is necessary to consider for management plan implication.

P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
It is significant for experts to have improved focus on the framing of goals and objectives in an
adequate manner. It allows providing an accurate direction to the business firm and ensuring
business sustainability.
Aim
 To analyse the impact of multinational companies’ operation on the business
environment of the UK: A case study on McDonald’s.
Key objectives of the present investigation are as follows:
 To understand the operations of multinational businesses like McDonald’s
 To assess the impact of globalisation and multinational businesses on the business
environment of the UK
 To identify the factors that affect the competitive advantage of small businesses in the
UK
 To recommend ways that allow SME to improve business performance and gain
competitive advantage
By having an understanding of different objectives the research study can be carried out in an
accurate manner.

P2 Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources
Every project requires an improved focus on the scope and resource allocation so that corrective
measures can be taken into account. Application of project management plan is necessary to
consider so that sustainability can be well maintained. It is necessary to have a proper
understanding of standards in order to meet the objectives.
Project cost- Present study is to have an evaluation of McDonald's operation and its impact on
the small businesses. Environmental influence also needs to be identified accurately so that long
term objective can be met. The overall cost of the project is 6000 British Pound so that research
study can be accomplished.
Scope – Present investigation’s key scope is to analyse the operational standards that are
followed by multinational businesses. It will allow small businesses to design better strategies
that can help in resolving the issues (Sunder 2016). It will also assist small businesses to attain
better competitive advantage and lead businesses to better success.
Time – Time allocation for the total project is not sufficient that has affected the overall
application of project activities. The project will be started on 19th March 2019 and total time
period allotted for the project is 1 month.
Quality – Multinational businesses are well focused towards effective development of quality
measures so that goals and objectives can be taken into account. Understanding the quality
standards in an accurate manner then small businesses can also enhance their performance.
Communication – For better communication the formal email and calls will be considered as a
channel so that better interaction with the target audience can be taken into account (Padalkar et
al. 2016).
Risk- Project has a few risks that might affect the overall development of the project in a
negative manner. Slippage of the deadline is also a risk factor that might influence the overall
outcome. Increase in cost is also a risk factor that might affect the success of the project.
Resources – It is necessary to have the proper allocation of resources so that research study can
be taken into account. Human resource, finance and technological resources are required in order
to ensure the study standards.

Gantt chart
Gantt chart indicates that activities are classified in a different section so that application of
standard and key working can be promoted in an adequate manner. It allows having a better
direction towards activities and assisting in meeting the goals and objectives. Activities are being
classified on a daily basis time frame.
